It's 2013 and the Mayan date of 12.12.12 is over. Everyone is alive and it's been months after. Strange things have started happening though. Global Warming seems to be rapidly increasing and techtonic plates are moving faster. Waves are getting bigger and storms more frequesnt. No one knows why but people have already lined the streets saying 'It's the End of the World!'  Of course no one believes them. At least not yet.
