♡ botanical gardens

@♟ kim jongin。 yeeun considered herself quite lucky. she had been asked out—well, not exactly hang out in that way, but she hadn't really expected to become personally familiar with most of her seniors, especially those members of the super group exo. she didn't know what part of her had somewhat allowed her to hang out with one of her idols—and not /just/ with any idols she had. it was the idol of all idols, kim jongin. despite her heart beating a little too fast inside her chest, she managed to make herself look decent enough to go to their agreed time today. whilst keeping a somewhat casual expression, she walked through the gardens, looking for the familiar back of the older male. once she'd seen him, she beamed, her eyes lightening up at the side as she hurried toward him (but taking care not to look extra excited, y'know?), placing her arms behind her and bending her torso down to look at him. her hair framed her face like curtains, and she blinked, a rather shy grin gracing her lips. "you're early," she said, couldn't help the impressed tone her voice took on. "did i make you wait for too long?"

@♙ jang yeeun。 to say jongin was nervous was a slight understatement, you see, he didn't have the best of luck when it came to female friends but his junior, jeno, had introduced him to his mc partner and he found himself intrigued by her stand off ish way. honestly, all he wanted was someone around him that wasn't family a man who just wanted to start bets and games. so, to prepare for this engagement, jongin had arrived half an hour earlier than the agreed time to pick a spot in the garden that wasn't so far from the entrance but was still close enough to the little convenience shop where they could get the ramen and he laid a red picnic blanket down to mark their little area, placing various snacks and the promised ramen down before settling himself down on the fabric with his hands behind his head as he waited for the girl.

@♛ jung wooyoung。 @♕ choi san。 It was one of those days when it was windy out. The leaves were ever so slowly turning into shades of brown, red and orange to match with the season-- autumn. Yuqi was bundled up in her warm clothes, a white jacket matched with a pair of jeans, a brown scarf along with a brown jacket and a t-shirt underneath to keep herself warm. She had her red locks let down for extra warmth which proved to work quite well. In her hands, a cup of coffee which was purely for the sake of keeping her hands warm- and not so much for the sake of drinking. She wasn't that fond of coffee after all.

"What a great day for a stroll." She'd mutter to herself as she made a turn into the botanical gardens but no sooner had she taken five steps into the garden had she heard a chirp over at a nearby bush that was right next to an acacia tree- a tree that mostly grew in Africa, in the savannah. How the gardeners had gotten a tree like that to grow in the garden in freaking Seoul, she honestly had zero idea, absolutely zilch. Maybe it was garden magic or perhaps the gardeners were simply fully grown tall gnomes who used their magical powers to grow whatever they wanted there but this was all besides the point.

Slowly, she approached the bush and to Yuqi's pleasant- or not so pleasant, depending on how one would see it, she saw a baby bird resting on top of the branches of the bush. "Oh what are you doing down here, you poor thing?" She tossed her cup of coffee into the trashcan nearby before slowly approaching it, scooping it up with both of her hands. "Where's your nest, little fella?" She glanced around before finally setting her eyes on it's nest that was all the way at the top of that tall tree. It was at least the height of four of herself stacked up.

Fortunately, even as a child, Yuqi had been exceptionally fond of climbing trees so this didn't seem too much of a difficult task for the tiny girl. She slipped the bird into the pocket of her jacket before proceeding to attempt to climb up the tree albeit with much difficulty though the oddly lower branches did help the girl with her journey up the tree. Within minutes, she found her palm bleeding from being pressed against the rough edges of the trunk of the tree but she was already halfway up. Just a little bit more and she'd be at the top, she'd be returning the bird back to it's place.

It was an hour later when she'd finally put the bird back into it's nest but now there was a problem. How the hell was she going to get down?
