hello all! i wanted to make sure to remind you guys of something very important--- something that transcends to all of my roleplays. and that's this: you don't have to be here.
if you disapprove of how i run things (whether it's me stepping in and out of the rp as i see fit) or how i deal with certain situations, then feel free to skip out. obviously, my pms are open to discussion if you find it in yourselves to actually come talk to me about it. but other than that, don't bother remaining or continuing to join my roleplays if you have an issue with me.
personally, i'm pretty grateful to have you all as members. but it's pretty tasteless to mock my adminning if you continue to utilize what i'm doing here. we all work hard, the entire admin team in unison. so don't bother scraping my coadmins for things i invest in them to carry out.

chatroom.
it's been brought to my attention by several members here how awkward and uncomfortable the chatroom (gay central) can become. the chatroom is a privilege, it's something we were already so hesitant to add. so you can see why we're smacking ourselves when we hear of how much trouble it's apparently caused.
we just want to reiterate that the chatroom is pg. i don't care if this is a "sugar daddy themed" rp, that's all ic. the ic room can get a little heated, because it's all in character. the chatroom, however, is to not be touched by any of that. gore, ography, explicit conversations and the like are not to be brought there. if you're unsure if certain topics are okay to bring up, just ask the admins. we want to create a friendly, fun environment but we can't do that if everyone feels like they have to slink back to walls.
crack. good lord. as most of you have seen, we've been temporarily closing the chatroom to calm down the atmosphere there. this roleplay is labeled as "literate" but it's hard to enforce such if no one uses the ic lounge or the roleplaying rooms. we'll always bring the chat right back, but really... i think we all need our time away (to work on profiles, responses, or just kick it in other rps).

the event itself is set to start this wednesday! to stay true to the masquerade theme, we'll be having cloaked accounts so that no one can know anyone's identity here. state below if you're participating in the event, and you'll be given the username and password to a cloaked account. (note: this account is now yours. feel free to change the password or whatever as soon as you get access to it).
you'll be using this account throughout the event. as soon as the ball opens, apply for the masked character (named after desserts) that corresponds to your cloaked account. you don't have to leave your main characters here (in case you're wanting to work on replies and such). but only use the cloaked character in the masquerade rooms.
