Retribution - Overwatch

If you guys aren't interested in the Blizzard game, Overwatch, then ignore this blog and go ahead and have a good day.
If you ARE a complete thot for this game like me, then read on.
Okay first of all- Uh Papa Jeff- Jeff you need to S T O P.
So my is a day/hours late to this, but Papa Jeff has released more stuff about the seasonal event. If you haven't seen it then here's some links for you to check out:

Y'all I ain't ing ready. Also I'm going to talk about thoughts on the trailelr right now so if you haven't seen it, go do that, then come back and read this garbage.
Just the beginning of the trailer- It sounds like Jack is talking to Gabe over the intercome like when you're interrogating someone, or if you're behind the one-way glass and listening to the interrogation whilst Jack and Gabe are in the room together. But it seems Jesse is also in the room with them because at the end Jack seems to casually ask Jesse if he's got anything else to add to what seems to have turned out to be a ing show. Papa Jeff said this is how it starts for Gabe, as in this is how he began to change into the Reaper we know now. So it seems this was Blackwatch's first introduction to a wider audience too? I have no doubt Jack tries to cover it up as much as he can, but there's only so much he can do himself. Okay so listen. The trailer is so ing badass. The music? The sirens? The look at what we get to expect from the event when it comes out? I'm living for Moira being taller than all the guys btw, like lol yes. Some of the bigger bad guys we see glimpses of though:
The assassin - definitely looks like Genji themed
The big heavy fire tank looking dude - looks like Orisa and Bastion had a baby
But most importantly, there's a character that looks like they can shadow step. Or at the very least, they have the tendrils that Gabriel gained later on in life when he became the Reaper thanks to Moira's experiments. But this video, this happens 8 years ago, long before Reaper was a thing. So this Widowmaker looking sniper thing can shadow step like Gabe before Gabe could and I don't even know how that's a thing.

And that comic- Oh. My. God. That comic! Michael Chu did such a good job of showing us a glimpse back into Jack and Gabe's relationship. Their friendship is one of a kind and honestly? Honestly it makes how they currently are/ended things with one another that much more heartbreaking. I'm glad Gabe has been shown as more than just a bad guy. He was legit a good guy and he was upset that people got hurt on what he considers his watch so his fault. And he's just frustrated that he can't do anything under the name of Overwatch because that's just what they don't do. And he's frustrated his best friend, Jack, is sticking to the books but its seriously gotten Gabe in some trouble and yeah-. God that comic was perfect, and we got to see Moira in her Blackwatch gear but we also saw Gerard! Aside from looking suave as , when Jack said Angela reported he would make a full recovery, my cynic was like, yeah he fine until his ing wife kills him- /coughs. ANYWAY.

I'm super looking forward to this event, and I feel like we're being spoiled considering Brigitte came out not too long ago too. Her gameplay is nothing else like I've seen on Overwatch and she's so cool! As a Mercy main I get frustrated when I get defend myself as well as I would like to because you can't rely on your ing team DPS to do for you but somehow you gotta heal and revive their assess when you dead, but Brigitte can do that and STILL help heal/defend/protect her teammates. What do you guys think of this event? Are you excited to see Blackwatch? What do you think about Gabe doing stuff out of a sense of guilt and need for justice? Feel he's taking the law into his own hands too much? Who do you guys main? And who do you think you'll be playing as in the return of Uprising and the new event Retribution?
