How do you get over this?

So my rp partner of 5 years left. How does one get over this? Five years is a lot of time. My muse is so developped, it's a huge part of my life. Plus, it happened all of a sudden, I didn't know they were going to do this. It's just... really sad. Has anyone been through something like this? I really need advice.

ive never experienced something like this, the most ive rped with someone is for a year; and it wasnt here. must be sad but the memories youve had with them before mustve been amazing. :( i wish i found a friend who i can rp with like that, seems like goals to me.

Hello :) I have faced the same situation with you. He left after 4 years and 5 months (we roleplayed somewhere else, not here). It was really sad and tbh I still cry sometimes because it just feels empty after he left. But there is nothing lasts forever. They also have real life to manage so we have to accept their decision and don't worry, you'll get used to it after a while. :) Good luck!
