The Golden Age of Roleplay

What happened to roleplaying? What happened to the times when you opened someone's wall they're having all these insanely good plots going? Why are points increasing mainly because there is a chat room in the rp? Why are people only ever entertaining the friends they made and ignore all the rest?

What happenes to roleplaying? On asianfanfics, most roleplays using other platforms like facebook and path are gone now. It's basically dead when at the peak of k-pop and roleplays way back in 2012, it was all so great.

In my very honest opinion, roleplayrepublic is not even roleplayrepublic anymore. It's basically chatwithyourfriendsrepublic now. No wonder I keep leaving all my characters and my accounts. I'm looking for a roleplay that would help me hone my skill as a writer. Roleplaying has always been that to me. What the hell happened here? People say I'm just in the wrong roleplay or haven't met the right people but seriously though? Is there even a roleplay that focuses on real roleplaying anymore?
