muse a: is a world famous surfer, insta-model socialite and the product of a tragic upbringing. muse a lost their parents at the tender age of 12 years old in a freak storm that capsized their boat, they were told it was a miracle that they ended up on the beach the way they did but muse a is certain that somebody saved them. it seems miracles come in the form of iridescent scales and a beautiful voice.
muse b: a mermaid who happened to be in the right place at the right time, muse b saved muse a from drowning and instantly fell in love. years later, muse b is still pining after muse a and despite being told not too, journeys to the surface world to find their one true love; if only muse b didn't look so different in their human form.
PLOT POINTS (version b):
- would preferably be set in a high school or university situation
- muse b will look different as a human compared to their mermaid form hence muse a won't recognise them

MUSE A: IS A the resident superhero of major city. it wasn't a role that they wanted so much as it was given to them unwillingly and now, muse a is stuck with trying to lead a normal high school life while battling crime. oh, and did i forget to mention their massive crush on their childhood best friend who hates everything to do with heroes and villains?
MUSE B: IS probably the one person in the entire world who doesn't worship superheroes. they do their best to live a normal life but there's not much you can do when you seem to keep bumping into the biggest superhero of all time, muse a. muse b doesn't want anything to do with muse a's alter ego except for the fact that muse b can't quite seem to stop blushing and making a fool out of themselves around the hero.

- this one isn't a suggestion, it's a clarification: muse b does not know that muse a is a superhero.
- muse b gets noticed by some baddies and is kidnapped (bonus points for: brainwashing to turn against muse a, being put into a traumatic experience that causes muse b to shun muse a, etc.)
