a single bite from either brother would turn a human into a similar devil, albeit not quite as strong as their dark fathers. while the vampyre meticulously chose the perfect candidates to follow him to immortality, the lycan attacked entire villages, creating thousands of mindless, hungry beasts. what the lycans possessed in numbers and brute strength, the vampyres made up for in cunning and cruelty. they were two species, destined to destroy one another, and they did so in bloody, merciless feuds, until the first true lycan was captured and imprisoned by his own twin brother, and the rest of the species exterminated to the cusp of extinction.
