I'm about to go on a rant because of what this dumb said

That person said that in response to an instagram post calling out Christopher Columbus for being among other things, a , trafficker, colonizer, and a thief
So ya'll, answer me this

Why the , should people who were forced from their homes, forced to work for free while being , tortured, repeatedly set back, oppressed and treated as less than human be the ones who have to struggle to scrape together things to get get back to where they came from?

Their ancestors were literally taken and plopped into a country where they had no rights and no money and so they had to ing settle, they had to make the best of what little they had and once their communities finally started getting some money, they were attacked again.
Their businesses destroyed, and once again they were left poor and defenseless and had to try and rebuild again.

They were time and time again treated like human garbage but THEY are the ones who have to UPROOT THEIR LIVES AGAIN just because you can't learn from your ancestors' ty decisions and just HAVE SOME ING HUMAN DECENCY.

Now while I don't hold the white people who are alive now responsible for slavery and such, I do have a major ing issue with continuous refusal to acknowledge what the their ancestors put people through.
To me, at least, if I knew I had a family member, say a grandfather, who was mistreating people and after he died I was put in a position to ease the victim's pain, I would do it. I would not look at them and essentially tell them to get over it.

I'll ask it again, just drive home the point.

How the are you going to put people in a situation where they are don't have anything, forced them to work for years while they build your wealth and you amass power while they have nothing?
Sure, you finally free them but once they actually start hitting their stride, you up their lives AGAIN
Leaving them even further behind than where they started.
And now we're here where, yes, we have some black people who are well off, but that also comes along with communities filled with poverty with young people who can't get jobs because they get discriminated against because of their skin color, with kids whose parents aren't around to stir them away from bad people because their parent is struggling to provide for them which leads to gang recruitment. With police officers just waiting for a chance to put a bullet in their brain.
But they are the ones who have to leave right?
Because them leaving is easier than you just stopping your dickish ways, right?
Because it's so hard to be a decent human being, right?
I hate people sometimes, I really do.
