It was better this way.

Loneliness deserved to the king who trampled upon his people. He who was the storm that left bonds in shambles was Mikey.

No longer could he afford to allow people close to him. The people he cherished would forever be pushed away. Since his youth he lived in the shadow of his brother whom he cherished. So much so he did not realize he aspired to be something he never could. Shinichiro was a ray of light. A man full of good will and a heart so big that even the most broken respected and adored him. Mikey wanted to be that same person. To continue the legacy his brother left behind.

But the loss of his brother made one thing very apparent.

Mikey had no heart.

Within him cast an empty void of apathy. Violence was his relief and the people he cherished became the guiding light he wished he had. He was no saint. The people around him were the real sparks of light his brother left behind. Mikey… he was nothing without them. Nothing without some guiding figure to scold him and tell him he’s wrong. No one would.

He was invincible, after all.

Adorned with his crown and seated atop his throne, Mikey led an empty kingdom. He protected his “people” by cutting them loose of his tyranny. Now, with due punishment, he would finally accept that a life of solitude is befitting of one cast from the light.

Though, Mikey had one regret.

“Sorry Aniki, Nii-San, Emma… I let you down again, didn’t I?”
