trust me when i say ilhwa is CRAZY. like, REAL crazy but in an overwhelmingly positive way. the characters? crazy (real) (interestingly traumatic bgs). the literacy? woah, crazy. the muns? yeah... crazy. also i know NOTHING about the joseon era or bridgerton AT ALL but once you get the gist of the premise, you'll get it. ez. overall? i'm having fun so far with character creation, plotting, and chatting with the rest! so PLS join you won't regret it frl.

1) ROH MINDAE, HOUSE OF THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY, aka fc HWANG MINHYUN — 28, eldest son, jungin, royal male physician + chief of medicine. based off vache from hsr. aligned with the mad doctor trope, mindae's moral compass is close to nonexistent. he's an unethical-yet-pretends-to-be-ethical doctor who also has a god complex; he's a "the matter of life or death is in my very hands and you can't do anything about it" kinda guy. VERY obsessive with his work, you can't pry him off (this is why he has no es). people still love him though.
connections i want for mindae:
⤷ test subjects. self-explanatory. dw, you won't die < 3
⤷ possibly someone who knows where/how his madness is derived from, but keeps telling him it doesn't serve as an excuse to use people as he pleases especially when it concerns the matter of life and death. chaos and drama ensues.
⤷ someone who knows his dirty little secret and decides to blackmail him (with evidence collected over the course of time) should he not comply to their request(s) (whatever it is). mindae panics.
2) (in the works) KWON JUNHA, HOUSE OF THE BLACK DAHLIA, aka fc JUNG JINSOUL — 24, long-lost twin sister of kwon hajoon, cheonmin, nobi + bandit. gay, gay, homoual gay. also a bit sick in the head, kind of. the dumb to hajoon's dumber. based off igarashi sayaka from kakegurui. a sold-their-soul-to-their-master kind of person, would do just about anything and everything for them. but when a family's blood is thicker above all else, upon her does the question fall; "where does my loyalty lie?"
connections i want for junha:
⤷ someone who believes in spirits and ghosts bumps into her sneaking out at night and thinks that their grounds are haunted. junha finds this entertaining and decides to toy around with you a bit.
⤷ drinking/smoking buddy. somebody that's willing to indulge into her poor soul as she pours her heart out.
⤷ the master that junha adores so much for treating her kindly. an endless infatuation blooms for her only salvation amongst the dreadful sea of hate and eternal pain. she doesn't care if it's one-sided, but kneels and prays to the moon everyday that it will be reciprocated... someday, somehow.
