ABOUT BAEKHYUN

Baekhyun had grown up with a magical mother and a Muggle father; he'd led a childhood filled with both the magic and the mundane.  He loved everything to do with both worlds, and wanted to learn as much about them as possible.  His mother had been a first-year at Hogwarts during the battle against Voldemort, and because of this she had told him as much as she could about Dark magic to warn him.  This didn't have a very good effect on him, understandibly.  

 

She would constantly send him letters warning him of things that she thought might go wrong at Hogwarts, and over the course of six years, he became withdrawn and cautious, focusing only on his studies and avoiding other students, especially Slytherins due to the effect that her prejudices had had on him.  As a result, he's very easily startled, and has little to no friends.

 

The only thing he does outside of schoolwork is music; his father was a part-time musician, a classical pianist who teaches him when he's home over summer break.  Baekhyun also takes lessons at a Muggle school during the summer on advanced music theory, and he hopes to find some way to connect Muggle music to the Wizarding world.  Every year he brings a portable Yamaha keyboard to his dorm, much to the bafflement of his roommates- after all, what is this strange Muggle electric device, and how does this beautiful sound come out of it?
