Namjoon was raised by his two fathers who adopted him from the orphanage. He doesn't know anything about his biological parents yet he really doesn't care about it. His fathers had always cherished him. He lived with his parents until he was 18. He moved from Goyang to Seoul for the university to study philology. After graduating from the university he decided to stay there and became a teacher. He is now well known in his field despite his young age.

Kim Namjoon's parents both worked for the government. They matched by the government but they started to have feelings towards each other. When Namjoon was 14 his parent's relationship was exposed and the government executed them. After becoming an orphan Namjoon was taken by the government to transform him into a cyborg. During his tests at the laboratory, the government recognised Namjoon's high IQ and send him to the main government building to train him. He trained there for 3 years before starting to work for them. However, Namjoon is now working for the government he deeply hates it and he is ready to do everything for the revenge of his parents.
