The Ugly Stepsister.

For most of the time, Lee Jooyoung doesn't feel worthwhile. She supposes that this is just karma rippling over from her past life, coming as small waves that lapped at her calves rather than a mighty tide ready to swallow her whole. A little restrained yet constant.

Her beginnings were wonderfully suburban and run-of-the-mill. home was a red-bricked house of four. a successful real estate agent as a father, a stay at home mother who was the poster for a housewife, and a younger sister who was gazed upon with favour. while jooyoung might have been the first-born, she was more than often overlooked. though, that's not to say she was denied of affection, rather she felt like aging wallpaper when the spotlight shined so brightly on her over-achieving younger sister and her successes.

Jooyoung's memory of her past life had strung itself together like fine pearls on a necklace and made sense. a number of nights waking up in a cold sweat after dreaming of bloodied feet with sliced and eyes pecked out by the hard beaks of black birds.

ever since this realisation, jooyoung's been struggling to control whatever damned magic she's been cursed with in this life.

Now twenty-six, fate now sees Jooyoung working a job she isn't particularly fond of as being a member of a key web development team for an up-and-coming establishment. Though she's good at it and it pays well. So well in fact that she thinks that she'll age out before she even has the chance to blow out the gaudy candles, that sink into sponge cake, celebrating thirty-five years of? Of eye bags comfortably settling into the valley of skin and long nights coloured by restlessness.

Jooyoung comes off as indifferent, however, deep down she means well. Probably. She's usually a person of few words, not speaking when not necessary. She finds the small talk that so desperately tries to fill the gaps of silence between two people annoying. Though introverted in nature, she just has trouble expressing herself and emotions.

With her fairytale past life having their eyes pecked out by birds, in this life, Jooyoung has very poor eyesight and cannot get by with her contacts or glasses.

I. I'm fine with both povs and comfortable with plotting and winging. Also, I'm a pushover and I'll always ask you what your roleplay preferences are.

II. Not really particular towards any genres. Heck, I even miss the basic fluffy plots of going to the bubble tea store.

III. Please understand that along with adminning the roleplay, I also have commitments ooc and that my muse tends to fluctuate. However, I'll always try my best to get to you. Please poke if I haven't responded in three days.

IV. With that said, I won't poke if I haven't received a reply. I'd just assume that you've unfortunately lost interest in roleplaying with me. oh god.

V. I've noticed that it's become a thing to plot on pm and keep characters walls strictly for roleplaying. I'm personally not to fussy about that but if you're into that then I'll go with the motions.

VI. Don't always trust the online sign! I might be just checking over roleplay as admin or playing around with codes for reasons.
