growing up in a poor area of south korea where hybrids weren't really accepted, chanhee lived a rather stressful life. his parents were constantly working to keep a steady income and support themselves and their only son. even while being so busy, however, they always gave their son attention and neverending love, or so he liked to think. despite that however, they forbade chanhee from ever leaving the house, as they knew he would suffer in the hands of the people there who, unfortunately, despised hybrids of any kind. he suffered deeply at the hands of his parents, but he never expressed it.
Chanhee never minded, though. he grew up not knowing what the internet was, or even that there were other hybrids out there besides himself and his mother. he spent most of his time cleaning, cooking, reading, and tending to a small flower garden his mother helped him make in their backyard. That was where his love for flowers came from, the one stress reliever in his life that always seemed to do the trick.
It was for a good reason, though, that his parents always kept him so sheltered. As one day, when he decided to sneak out when he was 16, it was his biggest regret. he was attacked in the middle of the streets, gagged, and ually used for others pleasure. his parents were more angry at him sneaking out rather than worried for their son, and chanhee suffered from depression and even worse thoughts that he never wants to think about again. he recovered though, slowly but surely, and this time, followed his parents every order.
as time passed though, he started to become sick. endless trips to the doctor and thousands of tests later, doctors still don't know whats wrong with him. his immune system is constantly deteriorating along with the condition of his heart and his lungs, though he doesn't allow the weakness and pain to affect his daily life. he still goes about his day smiling and caring for his precious flowers. one look at him, and you wouldn't think he's sick at all.
Upon turning 18, his parents decided to finally let him go, and took him to a special mansion for hybrids, where their son could be free to be himself and make friends while also staying safe. chanhee is now a florist with his own storefront, using the profits from his sales to continually support his parents and also his health.

chanhee, or as he likes to be called by his friends chani, is the definition of a sunshine child, though he is a bit antisocial and anxious at times due to being sheltered his entire life and past traumas. he's very hyperactive and positive, traits that have thankfully kept his head up throughout all the hardships he's gone through. Because of his sickness, however, his heat cycles tend to be a bit.. abnormal. He can go moNths without having his heat, or he can go INto heat for a month straight. Not only does he get aroused during his heat, severely at that, But he gets physically ill. It would almost look like he has a STomach virus rather than His heat, but its UNFORTUNATELY how it works for him.
he absolutely loves to make new friends and make people smile, it gives him strength and makes him feel proud of himself for making someone else happy. his love for flowers is astronomical. he keeps them all over his room, as the sight and smell tends to calm him down when he's stressed out.

despite the utter happiness that is chani, however, he is very sensitive and easily hurt, though he's an expert at hiding his emotions, especially when he's upset. this kitty just wants some love, and doesn't care if that love is from a master or even a fellow kitty.
