Description

Chris hated it when his ex girlfriends used to ask how his parents met. Was it really appropiate to say during a romantic as conversation, "My mom was a waitress at a restaurant that my dad used to visit with his family all the time? Then one day they decided to and the rest was history". Probably wasn't the best line to say, but hey it was the truth. One that influenced his life in ways that he didn't realize sometimes.

His parents had their share of problems. His father was beautiful on the inside, but rotten on the inside. His mother was a gorgeous beauty from a small town, who was swept up by the big city and her married smooth talker. She always wanted his father's love and commitment, but realized the harsh truth of her only staying as a mistress, nothing more. Despite this, she stayed with the old man and turned bitter and money hungry eventually, dreaming that one day her son would become the prodigal child to take over his father's place. A dream like this was a stretch though with Chris's father putting his bastard son on the sidelines, yet expecting only greatness from him. Meanwhile Chris's half siblings just lollied around in life, nothing expected of them, but rewarded in every way possible.

After college, it seemed like Chris was destined to finally take over his family's business. He was the only one with the brains, determination, and capacity to do it. However, after his graduation, it was announced his older half brother would be the next face and chairman of the company. That day, Chris gave up his years of studying and kiss assing by packing his bags to travel around the world.

During his time away, Chris did odd jobs here and there, played the guitar, and learned how to cook. Along the way he got married too, which his family cut him off for. It was a complete 180 from his old uptight, but pampered, lifestyle. The two of them moved back to Chris's place, where the financial cracks were starting to show. It wasn't exactly easy trying to juggle culinary school and working in various restaurants to scrape up some cash. Meanwhile he was still dealing with the hurt from his family, it was one thing to be looked over for his promised position in the company, but to be cut off too took it to a whole new level. This and the money struggles led to a downwards spiral with the two of them constantly fighting. However, things seemed to look up when he found out his wife was pregnant.

Gulping down his pride for his future family, he went back to his father to ask for some money. At first the old man was stern and unforgiving, but his mother eased him into giving Chris a job as an executive to the family company. It stung having to crawl back to his father, but what mattered was that it was all for his family. He had hope in his life. However, happy endings aren't exactly common here with Chris finding out months later that his wife cheated on him and didn't know who the father to her child was. Hearing this, Chris closed another chapter in his life and filed for divorce. He refused to hear from her again.

When Chris's father heard the news, he rewarded his son with a big fat raise and promotion, but none of that helped. Instead he threw himself into his work for a couple of years. One day, he decided to quit and open his ownstring of restaurants. He started out with a simple bar that made great food and had great drinks, nothing zany or wild, just sticking to the good stuff. Doing well with this, eventually he decided to go with his next idea of an ice cream shop, which did well too. From there, Chris opened various restaurants influenced by his traveling and love of art, food, and music.

Small quick facts

- The saying of, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" is true. Food is something I love and can go on about.

- Expect bad pickup lines. They're a joy for him to read.
- Interests? Movies, TV shows, food, drinks, music, and art.
- Loves a good drink. Sometimes you can catch him "sampling" too many whiskey shots from his bar.
- Not rare to find him in the corner of his businesses strumming the guitar.
- An ideal weekend? A good show, whether it be a concert or a movie, hell even an opera wouldn't be that bad. Followed by a good meal and drinks.

about / history

Chris likes to believe he's a pretty chill guy. He's not the most aggressive individual, but he's stubborn and can be demanding for the sake of work. Blame it on his perfectionist side. Still he prefers working in a calm enviornment if possible. Likes to crack a joke here or there, even during the most innappropiate time. Don't let that fool you though, he has that deep side to him. He likes to keep it to himself, especially when alone.
