about sominnie

history

born on the 22nd day of august 1996, jeon somin grew up in a household where her parents barely ever bond or talk with their children. she had two older sisters, both of which she had gotten close with during their years of living together. yet as they grew up, her sisters became busier, so when somin was in middle school, she was almost always alone at their house. with her shy and reserved demeanor, she didn't have a lot of friends, too timid to approach anyone.

she first saw the game, call of duty while she was randomly browsing the internet. it wasn't the first game she had ever played in her whole life, but it definitely was the one that got her hooked with playing games. that was where she had found friends, people she actually got along with, and so, her life slowly became composed of studies, singing, and games.

a year or so after that, her older sisters, once they discovered her singing alone as she cooked for her dinner one night, encouraged her to audition or to at least, let her talent be heard and join contests. somin, being the shy girl that she was, didn't want to. but without her knowledge, they uploaded a video of her singing, and her current company, dsp media, contacted them and asked her to become a trainee in their entertainment.

somin, despite being scared, accepted it, but not before her parents telling her of their support for her dreams. she trained for five years, balancing her life between training, socializing with her fellow trainees and playing games. soon enough, she debuted as a member of a japanese girl group called puretty, which disbanded pretty quickly. she didn't give up, however. her dream of being a singer was there, so she continued to grab at it. she eventually became the leader of april, but she left in november 2015.

she decided to start a youtube channel before she left april. even now that she is busy with her activities with her latest group, kard, she is still active, posting videos at random days of the month. she rarely ever posts vlogs on her channel, opting to use the vlives instead.

personality

somin, although she's an idol, still has the shy and reserved nature she grew up with. she's definitely kind, and will help you no matter how busy she is. she's very affectionate as well, and will not hesitate to show her affections for you in public. she's honest and trustworthy, but she's a bit on the gullible side, easily deceived especially by her closest friends.

she has low self-esteem as well, almost relying on others' for emotional support. she doesn't like, tries to be strong, but she sometimes can't help herself, and accidentally lets herself drown in her negative thoughts.

however despite this, she tries to maintain a cheerful personality so as to not make her fans worry for her, even though she thinks she's failin at that.

➳ whenever she rages on games, she surprises people with how much she curses.

➳ her 10pm bed time is a lie. she sometimes play until 2 in the morning, when she has nothing scheduled for the rest of the day.

➳ she really likes borrowing her co-member bm's clothes because she likes how big they are on her.

➳ she's ambidextrous

➳ she likes to watch anime on her free time

➳ she knows about fan fictions and reads them, yes, even the ones about her own group.

➳ she likes playing with other people rather than on her own, depending on the game

➳ she still loves monika from doki doki literature club

➳ she's written a few fanfictions of her own, all of which are hidden deep within the internet

➳ timezone is gmt+8 and i'm usually online during the evening and the weekends. i try to reply as soon as i possibly can though!

➳ i highly prefer third pov more than first pov. the length of my replies tend to mirror yours, but i do get easily bored if the replies become too short (one paragraph)

➳ you can approach me wtih a plot in mind or we can think of one together.

➳ poke me after five days of not replying. i usually reply after a day, so if it reaches to that, then that means i must have forgotten about it or have been busy, but feel free to poke me.

➳ tell me if you've lost muse and want to drop the rp and i'll do the same.

➳ the one to write the starter depends on the plot we're going to do. i don't mind writing starters as long as it's preferrable for the plot.

plot 001 someone took my wallet from my bag, and i didn't even realize it until you were running after them and tackled them to the ground. you then proceed to hand it back to me and please let me treat you something for this?
plot 002 my company thought i was the one you got caught kissing behind wendy's so they confirmed that we're dating.
plot 003 we're very close internet friends but haven't revealed who we are to each other just yet. realizing that we both live in seoul, we decide to meet up and oh wow, you're that famous idol everyone's talking about.
