History / About

Raised by a single father, there wasn't much 'tragedy' in his life, perse. His mother left when he was young, so he doesn't really remember her. He was born under a name he couldn't care to disclose, a life he knew from fairly young wasn't one for him. Growing up with only his father meant he had a lot of free time, and spent most of that time on his computer. If it weren't for the thing, Donghun probably wouldn't have been nearly as accepting of himself as he was. To be specific, Donghun is trans. It isn't a huge part of his own personal narrative, simply something that makes him him. He supposes he never really did come out, his father simply coming home to a short haired child and complimenting his "new 'do", catching a binder in the laundry load, noticing when his son started writing 'Donghun' instead of his government name on his belongings. So in short, the man was supportive, even helped Donghun in his process of going on T, and eventually, getting top surgery. Donghun isn't particularly dysphoric anymore. That computer not only helped Donghun figure out who he was, but gave him access to files upon files about 'mythical' creatures. Vampires, werewolves, the works.  He was terribly oblivious, believing that the weird pale kids in highschool with brightly coloured eyes were just experimenting with fashion, and the kids who disappeared every month were just in some weird cult. He never believed in them, thought it was all fairytales, until in college. After some drunken party, he woke up in a freezing cold bed, piercing gold eyes staring into his own. After his initial freakout ("I slept with a ing vampire. Vampires are real and I /slept with one./"), he became a fierce lover of vampires (and later on, werewolves, as his best friend in highschool turned out to be one). He got his name legally changed fresh out of college, and now spends his night bartending at night life. He spends his days mostly at home, tending to his pampered pet rat, lulu.
