born sometime around the late 1200s, park chanyeol had been living a relatively happy life. he was a family man and he showed that in many ways whenever he put his family before himself.

until his family was killed in cold blood by a serial killer in town. he had been out of town during that time and it completely changed his life. chanyeol, who had been studying to become a scholar, gave up on his dreams and chose a life of misery, going as far as to criticizing God. he drank every night to the point of drowning himself one night in the nearby river. his life didn't end though as the townspeople may have thought. he returned as a vrykolakas, and he was rejuvenated with this high sense of power he had gotten, using it to terrorize the town. just like that, chanyeol had become someone who killed in cold blood and drank it as well. maybe something even worse. he carried on like this for centuries until he came across a human being who reminded him so much of himself before everything went wrong for him. this was around the mid-1900s and chanyeol had decided it was time for a change. he committed grave sins, but he didn't have to carry on like that anymore. that was when he moved to magnolia springs, finding a sense of comfort in living with beings who the majority were no saints either, and chose to work in the museum after impressing the manager about his extensive knowledge in the supernatural and human history. he soon became the curator after that.
