If he was to summarized his life in the past, he was the ghost in the family. He was brought to the world with the sole purpose of being the heir to the empire build by his shipping magnate father despite the fact that they have a daughter before him. His birth had always been risky ever since the pregnancy. The Lady of Jung was advised to abort the pregnancy at her 18th weeks pregnancy, the baby was said to inherit the Lady's heart condition and wouldn't have live a long live. He couldn't put his hand on the reason his mother still strive over the pregnancy since it is pretty useless, he would have died as soon as he was born because of his con heart defect, and the poor woman couldn't even stand until the 40th week of pregnancy when her heart stopped suddenly at the 36th week and he had to be delivered forcefully. The baby were later named Jung Taekwoon and were raised in the hospital as long as Leo can remember his childhood and early teenage year. The whole nation were shaken by the disappearance of the Lady Jung and the rumours speculating around his birth suddenly resurfaced but none of the media could even get a sniff in what happened within the Jung's household. All that they know is that a baby boy called Leo is born but none of the media could get a hold of what the baby look like. The existence of Jung Taekwoon were only known to the closest and trusted Jung's family member as to protect Poseidon Group. The empire should not have any vice, not in the empire not in the heir itself.

Once in awhile, he would saw his father while he visited his mother, looking solemn and angry sometimes. He don't understand and he don't want to understand why. He had never know what the old man hand was, he had never touch him. And then there's his older sister, Jina. Due to his growing environment and the lack of contact with people, he had grown up to be a very placid and distant while very bratty and selfish to the one he is close to which is his sister and his nanny. His sister is the closest to the family affection he could experience since his parent was not obliged to those roles.

The first time he had the opportunity to actually stepped out of the hospital compound is when he was 14, after his first heart transplant and one week before his mother passed away. The whole family of four was transported back to Korea per his mother request to die in her motherland, residing in what he was told their vacation house by the private beach of an island. That was the first time he had met his grandfather who couldn't bear to have a look at him and was the first time he had ever heard of his actual name, as his mother requested in her deathbed, while looking a lot more energetic than he had ever seen her, for both of her children to accompany her on his bed in her hold. She died after she called his name for the first and the last time and Taekwoon remember that is the first time he had ever cried after so long and it is weird since he barely have any feeling for the poor woman, she had never nurse him, not even as a baby and yet he cried for her in her deathbed. So many first time for the then 14 year old Taekwoon and a lot more to come when he entered Imperial Azure at 18.
