expectaions, expectations and yet again even more expectations. this was the only thing that filled Zhengting's life ever since he could remember. "Zhengting you should do this" "zhengting you should do that" that's all his parents said to him. So he did this, and did that just to make them proud. He played the piano because they asked, he stop seeing certain friends because they told him so, and he even gave up on trying to be happy just for them.
But what's sad is that no matter what he did, no matter how much he tried, nothing seemed enough for them, there was always a room for him messing up somehow, there was always room for his older brother acing it even more than him.
"your brother was better at piano by the age of 5, what are you doing zhengting" said his mother "I don't even know how we ended up with a child like him" said his father whenever someone mentioned zhengting. "when will you ever get your life together, brother?" said his supposedly loving brother.
Zhengting felt like he was losing it, he felt like nothing will ever fill the big empty hole. Nothing was good enough, he certainly wasn't good enough.
