Growing up Ryujin really had your typical childhood for someone born of superhero parents. She went to a normal public school for most of her years, and had an extremely loving and supportive parental duo. Her mother was a talented hero by the name of "deep freeze," and her father a lesser-skilled sidekick by the name of "hottie mchot." For all their differences in skill and ability, they had fallen deeply in love, and so ryujin was born.

As a kid Ryujin was actually quite bright and endlessly nice. she was well-liked, and once she presented having the same ice powers as her mother, immediately honed them into a great skill. she was praised by her superhero tutors that were helping ryujin prepare to enroll at the academy.

It was sometime between her final year of high school and her first one at sora that her personality seemed to flip completely. Ryujin went from a girl sweet as ice cream to the ice queen everyone at sora knows her as today. She's not afraid to freeze someone in their tracks when they get on her nerves, and is actually quite stand-offish and keeps her emotions close to her heart where no one can see them.

Even her parents don't know why she's changed so much, throwing herself into her coursework and ignoring any attempts people make to ask her what's going on. 

The reality is this: About two years ago ryujin was training by herself when it happened. She accidentally used fire and burned her sparring dummy to ashes. All her life ryujin had only known the one ability, that of ice, and to suddenly have two made her, well...scared. she didn't want to have two powers. she had no desire to be different from her peers, especially just starting out at the academy, and so she did what she thought would be best.

She decided to hide her ability to control fire and never use it again, only now it's taking a toll on the girl. From her mood to her physical well-being it's changing Ryujin, and it'll only get worse the longer she goes denying that she can have both abilities and still be the same girl. Maybe one day that girl will return, before it damages her beyond repair.
