headmaster's office

@ˢ ; choi minho "If it weren't for me, you'll die early." Jeongyeon answered and finished her coffee. Reminiscing the past is always the best, even though Jeongyeon had left no friends to stay with her in their graduation but why would she need many friends when most of them are just using her for activities and stuffs. She could relate to Minho a bit as he told her that he was a loner and she could agree about that fact. She hums and grins slightly, "I have many friends. Fake friends." Jeongyeon won't be ashamed on what she'll be saying next before putting down the empty cup on the desk, "They used me for activity purposes, but they fail in those activities because they're not compatible with my ability."

@ˢ ; choi minho Hearing the voice on the other side give her permission to enter she twisted the handle and then gave the door a push. Once he was open enough she slipped inside and gently closed it behind her before approaching the desk. Amy took a glance around the office but she already knew what it look like since it wasn't her first time being there. Amy looked at the other who set in front of her looking over what she assumed must be her file. "Good morning, sir." She replied deciding the best way to get through this was to try to remain calm and collected.

Stepping in front of the chair she set into it slowly and crossed one of her legs over the other. "I believe I'm here for disciplinary reason." Amy said. "Due to my use of my powers without the proper permission to do so." She added as she leaned up placing her elbow onto her knee for support. Amy wouldn't say she is a trouble maker like most of the kids who disobey the school rules, she didn't use her power for simple everyday things like a lot of students. Almost every time she had used her abilities it was because she felt it was necessary to do so.

@ˢ⁰² ; amy lee Yet another busy day – Minho honestly had too much on his plate to personally cater to students with disciplinary cases, but still – it was his job as the assistant headmaster, even with all of the actual headmaster's work on his plate. He wasn't one to complain, however – and so here he was, reading over the file of one Amy Lee. A telekinetic student, with a penchant for practicing her powers without permission – the standard, it seemed. Sighing to himself, Minho prepared to deal with what would possibly be yet another belligerent student that didn't seem to understand the concept of rules.

As if on cue, a rather violent knocking resounded from the office door, and Minho called out for the girl to enter without looking up from his files. Once she entered the room, he immediately looked up, a pleasant smile on his face. "Good morning, Miss Lee," he greeted, gesturing for her to take a seat in hopes that she wouldn't be as... violent as some of the other students he'd met before in his years dealing with these cases. "Please, take a seat. Feel free to make yourself comfortable." Quickly skimming through her file once more, he paused for a moment to look up at her from beneath his glasses, raising his eyebrows. "I'm sure you know why you were called here?"

@ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon Minho couldn't help but let out what seemed to be a tired laugh once Jeongyeon made her little joke, shaking his head at the sentiment. While it was true that they'd be more responsible headmasters and that Minho had constantly told himself the same thing, it was rather... refreshing to hear someone else say it – especially considering the fact that it was Jeongyeon, out of all people. At least he wasn't alone when it came to the hardships of this job. "You're right," he sighed. "But no one can make that man do something he doesn't want to– believe me, I've tried time and time again." He frowned, recalling all the times he'd nearly busted a vein trying to get Kibum to at least cooperate. "It's a good thing he hired a secretary– I think I would have collapsed from stress if I had to do all this alone."

He took a sip from his coffee once more before chuckling lightly at her statement – he knew the feeling of wanting to hit the headmaster. "I don't think he'd work even if you did that," he sighed. Her next words had him looking up from his laptop, surprised. It had been a while since he'd tried to remember his days as a student; it felt like they had happened such a long time ago. "Don't worry, I didn't have many friends back then," he laughed. "I was kind of that loner in the back of the classroom studying 24/7." The memories of his younger years had him smiling, shaking his head in embarrassment at how he used to be. "It would have been nice if we were friends back then, too."

@ˢ ; choi minho Amy couldn't believe this was how she was going to be spending her day. She could be training, studying or just about anything else that was actually beneficial to her learning. However she was heading to the headmaster office to be informed on what kind of punishment she would be receiving. Apparently Amy had broken to many school rules and had been given too many warnings. The student didn't understand how practicing with her powers was against the rule since this was a school made for that purpose.

Once she arrived to the offices door she sigh and then knocked on it roughly enough so she was sure to be heard. Amy would give anything not to have to be here and doing this. It wasn't that she had a problem with authority it was more or less she just didn't think this was necessary. She thought that she could be out doing what she was being taught to do inside of standing in front of a big wooden door waiting to be lectured and punished for what she thought was a complete idiotic reason.
ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho She took a sip on her coffee, she always likes it when her coffee has more cream than brewed. Jeongyeon doesn't like black coffee because of its bitter taste then lean against the wall while Minho's desk in front of her, nodding as she agreed as well that they both deserve a break. "I'm starting to think Kibum is not the real headmaster... we are." Then she starts to joke out of nowhere, making his partner laugh, her eye brows raised while looking at him. "What? It's true, he's too cool to work like these things. He's not also being serious as a headmaster. We do all of his works." She scoffed and looked around, good thing Kibum is not around so they could talk a lot about him.

"I don't want to disrespect Kibum, even though sometimes I want to smack his head hard for him to do the work that is supposed to be for headmaster only." Jeongyeon sighed and put down her drink then looks at him, "I sometimes want to go back as a student, I missed being one." she hums and looks at him. "We only see each other back then, but we never talk or meet."

@ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon Ah, something to eat sounded nice – Minho had no idea how long he'd been cooped up in the office, but now that Jeongyeon mentioned it, he was suddenly quite hungry. He was glad it was her that had been hired, over anyone else – she was quite attentive and caring when she could be, despite what others may think. He looked up at her as she stood, offering her a grateful smile before continuing to type away at his laptop. He'd take her somewhere nice to eat one day for being such a good sport when their job was stressful like this.

He didn't keep track how long she'd been gone, once again too caught up in completing his work so they could take a well deserved break. Once she returned, he looked up to find a steaming cup of coffee as she'd promised, and smiled up at her in return, making sure to finish as quickly as possible before thanking her. "Thanks," he chuckled, taking a quick sip – ah, she knew how to make coffee just the way he liked it. "You're right– this damn job makes me feel so much older since I'm always hunched over or stressed," he sighed, continuing to drink the coffee she'd made as he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. "I think we deserve a break, really."
ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho Jeongyeon nods and crossed her arms then sees what Minho's doing, she thought at first that being a secretary would be easy but then, Kibum is the headmaster, she regretted it. A bit perhaps. Being the headmaster's secretary is the only work she has aside from being an Emo Deadpool who only do what has to be done. Her adopted family can also give her one-third of the inehritance as she's not the real daughter. Jeongyeon then answered him with a plain tone, "Yeah, let's grab something to eat. But let me treat you a cup of coffee while still working."

She then starts walking out of the headmaster's office to get two cups of coffee for them. Jeongyeon and Minho graduated in this very school but often seeing or talking around, they didn't knew they were in the same job so maybe she could have someone to talk to in their school life in here. Maybe they could use that to relieve the stress from their work. Once all the coffee has settled, Jeongyeon then walked back to the office and puts the cup of hot coffee in front of Minho's desk. "Here. Loosen up. Your body slowly stiffen when sitting all day long." Jeongyeon told him with a slight smile on her face.

@ʰ ; kim kibum Minho couldn't help but scoff – it was something he really seemed to be doing often in the presence of the so-called headmaster of Sora Academy. Although it had only been a few years since he'd met Kibum (as Key, at least – his previous persona was a whole other can of worms he didn't usually like getting into), Minho had felt like he'd aged more than he actually had in the time they'd spent working together. "If I was going senile, I wouldn't be surprised," he sighed. "Having to deal with the laziest headmaster I've ever known has aged me significantly."

Although it would have been nice to hear Kibum show him at least a smidgen of respect, Minho knew there was no possible way that would happen. He was the headmaster after all – officially, at least. While it was nice to hear Kibum say the actual word, the tone behind it was anything but respectful – and so, he decided not to comment on it, leaving the memory of Kibum saying the word crammed into the corner of his mind. He had to take what he could get, couldn't he?

Well, Kibum had a point there – Minho was very, very, very fond of a good nap while the weather was cool enough. But he was also very, very, very fond of keeping the school from bursting into flames at any given second (which definitely would have happened if Kibum ran the academy without any help) – even more so than he was of napping. And so, he grimaced, shaking his head in disdain. "Unlike some people, I acknowledge my responsibilities and choose to act accordingly, sir," he scoffed. "Perhaps you'd like to join the rest of us in handling said responsibilities? Like looking over a few damn proposals that would take mere minutes of your time– an hour, at most?"

Minho scrunched his nose up at the question – what did Kibum think he was going to say, 'yes, please ignore all your work and leave it to me as usual'? "No." he said firmly, crossing his arms. "Up you get, Kibum– help me out at least a little bit, why don't you?"

@ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon Working past their required hours was something that both Minho and Jeongyeon were familiar with, due to the headmaster's nonchalant attitude. Although Minho should have been used to it by now, that didn't mean he wasn't irritated – especially now that it was such a busy time in the year, and keeping a school full of powered people afloat was no easy feat. He was thankful that he had an assistant – even though technically, she wasn't his assistant. Whatever the case was, having Jeongyeon working by his side reassured him somewhat. At least she wasn't Kibum.

Just a little more paperwork, a few more e-mails to answer, and Minho would be free to go home and sleep the rest of the day away, only to wake up the next day to work again. It seemed to be a never-ending cycle of the headmaster's work, even though he wasn't technically the headmaster. But what could he do? No one could make Kim Kibum do anything he didn't want to. Far too focused on typing up an e-mail with a possible sponsor for a future event, he'd hardly even noticed that Jeongyeon had finished, and was promptly snapped out of his reverie once she called for him. "Hm?" Distracted, he turned to look at the secretary, before shrugging. "Not yet, I guess– a little more, and I will be though." he hummed. Minho glanced at the time – it was much later than he'd thought. "Why? You hungry or something?"
ˢ ; yoo jeongyeon 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho A stressful day for both secretary and the assistant to work on the papers that the headmaster had not taken care of, Jeongyeon works on the student files while her partner, Minho works on the important stuffs that their headmaster should work on. Both of them sometimes want to punch the headmaster, but Jeongyeon has still some respect and patience on him. She almost missed watching Netflix on her apartment because of the work that they had to be done in a short period of time.

She sighed and leaned on her chair as soon as she was finished checking the student files, then she opened her browser on her laptop to watch the series that she's been waiting to watch all this time. Jeongyeon couldn't avoid opening her laptop just to watch a series than doing checking some e-mail from some of the students who had reports or complaints, 'They can whine all they want, who cares?' she thought to herself, humming while watching her favorite series to relieved herself from stress. Then she felt her stomach grumbling, the demon blinks before looking over to Minho who's just beside her, "Hey," she called him nonchalantly, "Still not finished?" then asked him while looking at what he is doing.
ʰ ; kim kibum [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho Of course, Kibum didn't actually forget about the documents that Minho had left on his table. That didn't mean he didn't just ignore it, though. See, sometimes he didn't understand how the previous headmaster trusted him with this job, when in no way at all had he gotten proper training or schooling for this, especially when he spent most of his life isolated from the other humans. But he supposed it wasn't that hard to learn — he just had to stop being a lazy , or that was what Minho would have said if he ever voiced his own thoughts regarding the matter. It would have been quick, but... what could he say? He wasn't in the right mood to work, and besides, he was certain that Minho could have finished handling it if Minho didn't give the job to him.

"Senile!" The mocking offended tone filled the room, and Kibum raised his eyebrows, almost as though he was scandalized. "Are you trying to insult yourself? You're older than me, /hyung/," he said, drawling out the honorifics without really an ounce of respect. Minho was only older by two years, and the other had given up on making him call the other respectfully — of course, wouldn't it be weird for the headmaster to call his assistant hyung? was what Kibum had reasoned when they had talked about this one time. He changed his position so that his feet were now touching the floor, and he leaned back onto the couch, covering his mouth as he yawned into the back of his palm.

"Besides, it's cold weather — doesn't it make you not want to work and simply nap instead?" he said, though he already expected what Minho was going to say to that. Unlike Kibum, Minho was a responsible human being, who acted more like the headmaster than the headmaster himself. He tilted his head to the side, a dumb smile gracing his lips as though he was asking the other for permission like a child. "If I said I'm not doing alright, would you let me continue napping?"
ˢ ; choi minho 4 years ago
@ʰ ; kim kibum A sick sort of satisfaction filled Minho at the sight of the lazy headmaster nearly sliding off the couch, and he clicked his tongue once Kibum gained his bearings. Sad – he'd wanted to see the younger man crash onto the floor ungracefully, and maybe he'd even kick him while he was down. Minho usually never entertained such violent thoughts, but Kim Kibum was an exception. Never before had he met someone so infuriating, so frustrating, and so adamant to avoid doing required work – who could blame him for being a little murderous?

Kibum's annoyed visage was met with a similar look – two could play at that game. If the headmaster was annoyed simply because his nap was disturbed, well, Minho definitely had it worse. Thanks to Kibum, his whole life and career was disturbed – so what right did Kibum have to be annoyed when all he did was sleep all day? "And I told you to look over the proposals I gave you this morning, Kim Kibum," he mocked, an irritated scowl on his face. "So I think I'm allowed to stop you from this... work that you're doing."

Clearly, Kibum wasn't doing any work – not that it was anything special. He usually did the bare minimum – attend meetings (that he tried to sleep through, if not for Minho kicking him underneath the tables) where his presence was required, and that was pretty much it. Why he'd passed off the proposals for new inclusions of different classes, you ask? Because clearly, Minho overestimated the headmaster. He'd thought Kibum could do this much, at least, but apparently not – the man favored sleep far too much.

"Maybe you're going senile," Minho quipped, a tone of mock concern in his voice as he inspected the younger man, pretending to look him over. "Forgetting things and sleeping too much – maybe those are signs you're nearer to your death bed? Normal, functioning adults don't normally forget things they were told to do mere hours ago.Are you feeling alright, sir?"
ʰ ; kim kibum [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho Kibum had heard Minho's footsteps even before the assistant had decided that slamming the door was a good idea. Despite what the majority believed, Kim Kibum was a light sleeper — too light, in fact, that he might as well not sleep at all due to the amount of times he'd wake up randomly. He napped too often to compensate with his lack of sleep, but he supposed he hadn't to the part where he was relaxed enough in a place to actually sleep yet. Perhaps it was because he'd gotten too used to the danger of being assassinated at any time, but he had brought that habit here despite his many years in a cell. But the slamming of the door had the headmaster flinching, his eyes flickering open before he held onto his blanket tighter, determined to ignore the assistant as much as possible, however—

A loud gasp escaped his lips when the blanket was torn away from his grasp, and he looked at Minho like the older man had just slighted him. He had almost fallen off the couch, if it weren't for him grabbing onto the couch before he even slid off. "Hey!" he said, scowling at the hellhound, a look of annoyance washing over his visage as he pushed himself to sit up, a hand reaching up toward the blanket. "Choi Minho, I told you not to disturb my sleep!"

Now, now, this mad face on his assistant was a good look on his face. He didn't know where this had come from, but ever since the man was assigned to him the moment he stepped out of his prison, Kibum had made it his own personal goal of annoying Minho everyday. What could he do? Minho was interesting, highly entertaining, and there was never a dull moment with the older lad. But still, that didn't mean he appreciated his naps being cut off. His own annoyed expression, however, eased into another one as he remembered the job that Minho had left for him.

The job that he'd left untouched there at the desk beside them.

He only smiled widely, leaning his weight onto his arm as he cocked his head to the side. "Whatever do you mean, Mister Choi? I recall no such thing."
ˢ ; choi minho 4 years ago
@ʰ ; kim kibum One word to describe this assistant headmaster gig he'd agreed to take a few years ago? Well, that was easy – if he had to pick one word; just one little word – it would be this: stressful.

Why, you ask? There were many reasons, of course; many little problems and schedules that needed to be fixed and arranged right away – meetings with the executive board, organizing sponsored activities for the school, disciplinary cases for both students and teachers – so much to do, so little time. Minho could just barely even recall everything on his schedule; he was that swamped. The bane of his existence however, was not simply all the work that was handed to him, no – it was that damn "boss" of his. Kim Kibum, the rightful and actual headmaster of the school that seemed to get off on giving his assistant all his damn work. Minho had better things to do, and he knew it was futile to try to get Kibum to do his job like a normal person, but still – there were some things that he couldn't do simple as the assistant headmaster.

Such things were reserved for Kibum – but he wouldn't be Kibum if he acted like a proper, functioning adult.

And so here Minho was, slamming the door to the headmaster's office (which by the way, felt more like his office than Kibum's) open with a crazed look in his eyes, searching for any sign of the ever elusive Kim Kibum. To his relief, he noticed a bundle of fabric atop a still figure on the couch, immediately recognizing it as his co worker (who else would take a damn nap in the headmaster's office?). However, the relief quickly turned into rage as Minho stormed over to the couch, ripping the blanket off of Kibum with a low growl. Damn him, damn this man – did he really think he could get away with passing off all his work to Minho?

(Because yes, he definitely could. He was the boss, after all.)

"Mr. Kim," he hissed, trying (and failing) to keep a polite smile on his face. He swore he could feel a vein throb in his temple – never before had anyone infuriated Minho as much as Kim Kibum did. "Rise and shine, sir. Isn't there something you should be doing, like I so kindly asked you?"
ʰ ; kim kibum [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ ; choi minho Do you know what the best thing to do during cold season? Bundle up and nap! And that was exactly what Kibum was doing right then — or at least, trying to. See, this was why he wanted to get a bed inside the headmaster's office, or at least a long couch that was enough for his height to fit so he could nap, but no, no! There was one man who was against everything he did, and as such, even the smallest request he wanted (that wasn't even to count the fact that he had given the headmaster office to his assistant just to avoid being directed to the parents) wasn't granted! And that man had been the bane of his existence ever since he had gotten imprisoned (and that was, ladies and gentlemen, a tale for another time) was Choi Minho. Minho had been pretty much determined at refusing every whim that the headmaster might have, which often resulted in Kibum planning to take revenge (read: sulking, but he would never dare to admit that).

But Minho couldn't control everything Kibum did. And now, instead of working on the pile of documents that his assistant had left on his desk, Kibum was wrapped by a blanket he'd brought to the academy that day, one that had managed to escape Minho's radars — well, hopefully, it did; he didn't want it to be taken away from him so easily — and he was in the only available couch in the office. Small, and he had to fold his legs near his chest, but that was okay, he supposed. This was still better than the uncomfortable bed of the cell he'd stayed for so long that he still hadn't forgotten how it felt, despite having a proper bed to his ownership by then.

Oh well. A bed was a bed no matter how small or uncomfortable. A man like him had no rights to complain, but he did, however, enjoy the look of annoyance that would often color Minho's visage whenever Kibum did something. It was one of the few entertainments he'd had, and he was certain that Minho would drop his if he could, but no. The two of them were tied by their jobs, anyway. So here was Kibum, wrapped comfortably in his blankets as his gloved hands clutched to the fabric, eyes closed as he breathed evenly in somewhat peaceful sleep.
