seungwoo plans things meticulously, his disdain for disorder was one that was nurtured into him from a young age. he's the youngest son from a family of lawyers, born on a blizzard ridden christmas eve. wealthy was an understatement, his father represented multiple politicians, business executives, and even mafia leaders. the family's pockets were deep with money despite presenting a humble image to the rest of the world. the expectation was that seungwoo would follow suit. as a young boy he would remember visiting his parents law firm, often coming into contact with some of the country's most notorious figures (although he wasn't aware of that fact back then).

but as he came into his own, his began to detest the strict expectations that were forced onto him.  his parents were trying to make him into someone that he wasn 't and he abhorred that.  yet, seungwoo decided to endure until senior year of high school.  until he couldn't anymore.  the final straw was when seungwoo's oldest brother died in a car accident that the older had orchestrated himself.  to everyone else, it was merely an accident, but when seungwoo found the suicide note while clearing his brother's room - he was sick to his stomach.  being the only one that knew of this often kept him awake and restless at  night.  he would find out in university that he was diagnosed with insomnia.

he surprised everyone when he decided to major in psychology, especially his parents.  they were vehemently against the notion that their son wouldn't study law -  but seungwoo persisted.  he couldn't let them  take control of  his  life and destroy him like they did with his brother.  he moved out and lived with a close cousin, taking several part time jobs to pay for his expenses.  his parents had reluctantly accepted his decisions at some point but seungwoo would send back any financial support they  gave to him as he refused to be dependant on them.

soon as he  graduated from university, he was offered a job at royal high as a counselor.  he accepted the offer and currently works as the junior counselor, whilst also hosting the school newspaper and being a coach for the swim team.  while the students are the primary reason for a number of his headaches, he does enjoy his job helping out students.  he rarely (if ever) talks about his background because one, he doesn't think it's a relevant topic and two, it would be very unprofessional of him.
