Wonshik has always been a creative soul with big dreams. He loved trying new things and never gave up. This behavior had a certain origin though. Wonshik's dad had always been very strict with him. being a gang leader himself, there were certain expectations. he wanted his son to be successful, like him. Maybe even inherit his position once he was ready. and with wonshik’s potential, he saw a whole future in front of his eyes. he wanted his only blood-related son to be at the top of the ladder. But being a man with big dreams himself, he kept his future insights a secret, only focusing on the present. So, of course, wonshik interpreted this behavior wrong. he had a lot of ambition but wanted to get there himself. he didn't want help. he wanted recognition. He didn’t want to follow his father in his footsteps, he wanted to create his own footprints. He did not need strict rules and punishment for each misstep. His father just wanted to help, but wonshik didn’t want any help. He wanted to be independent. Strive to a better tomorrow. His father did not understand that. Which was why they barely saw each other anymore. Unlike wonshik, his father was soft and relaxed with his adopted son. He could literally do anything and still get ... wonshik grew a little bit resentful towards their relationship. And he couldn’t stop the slight jealously he felt every time. He still loved him no matter what though. And despite their age, wonshik treats Baekhyun as his younger brother who he needs to protect.
