The gates to the graveyard are pushed open with one hand, the other holding the set of carnations by her side. Winds brush against her skin rather sharply, causing golden locks to dance along the breeze behind her. Today, she has chosen white as her attire, as though wearing it would cleanse her bloody self. She has to laugh at herself sometimes — why does she even have so much white in her closet? Perhaps she needs to throw them out, and change them with colors that suit her more. Neutral, monochromatic colors, much like how she views the world through dark silvery orbs.
It is only when she steps past the gates, when she tries not to stumble upon the uneven stones that the men thought would make for a good pathway to the graves, that she notices another presence within the vicinity. She stops in her steps almost immediately, and from her feet her eyes rise to set upon the stranger's figure nearby, her free hand moving to tuck a lock of flaxen tresses behind her ear. It's a face she's never seen before, but it isn't his face that takes her attention. It's the canvas by him and the image that it contains. Her eyes light up in the slightest, and she takes a few more steps closer, an almost innocent curiosity seeping through her skin as she's drawn in by the art he's got by his side.
Her hand holding the carnations twitches. Once more, she fights the urge to taint the monochrome with another violent shade of ruby.
She's the first to break the silence that falls upon the two of them. "Such an odd place to choose for painting, don't you think?" She isn't one to talk, however, though the unfamiliar lad doesn't have to know about that. Her eyes flicker back to his visage. "Do you come here often? This is the first time I've seen you here." She comes only when the death anniversaries of any of her family members arrive. Sometimes she thinks it's because she wants to keep up a facade, the shaky illusion that she's still innocent and still mourning over the loved ones she's lost more than five years ago. But recently, she finds that talking to the dead, even if she knows they're not listening, is oddly therapeutic. "Or have you come to visit the dead as well? A beloved, perhaps?"
