When Hyunjin was young, he lived on the outskirts of Busan with his parents and older sibling. He loved it there, loved the forest in his backyard and would often run around and explore with his brother. But it eventually came to the time where his brother would graduate from highschool 6 years ahead of Hyunjin and head off to some pristine college several hours away. It had only been a few months after his brother's departure when tragedy struck the peaceful family. Hyunjin was out exploring the forest alone like he's normally been doing the past few weeks; completely unaware of the wolf stalking him. He hears his mother calling for him, saying that dinner is ready, and the young 16 year old teenager doesn't hesitate to dash back home. It was a summer afternoon and his father just finished cooking dinner on the grill while his mother was setting it all up on the picnic table. By the time he's breaching their backyard, he hears it before he feels it: the deep gutteral growl of the wolf behind him before getting slammed to the ground. He could only register the horrified scream of his mother, the angry yelling of his father, as the beast easily tore into the flesh on his shoulder with his canines. The only sound he barely registered above his own screams was the shotgun his father owned firing off. The rest of that day was a blur, for Hyunjin shortly lost consciousness after the wolf let him go. When he awoke, he was laying in the hospital bed with a severely broken shoulder and shattered collarbone; completely reconstructed with several metal plates and screws along with a staggering total of 47 stitches holding his shoulder and neck together. His father and older brother were there, eyes puffy and red but relieved to see him still alive despite nearly getting his throat chewed out. Hyunjin learned that day that his mother, who had taken the shotgun from the shed, saved his life that day but paid with her own. He's never stepped foot in that forest since.

Hyunjin has mismatched eyes, a rare little trait that he got from his mother. His left eye is a warm hazel that glistens a tan hue when light shines into it while his right eye is an earthy crisp pine green color. Due to the bullying he got over his different colored eyes, Hyunjin has strictly chosen to wear colored eyecontacts to make his eyes seem a deep brown - never showing his real eye color to anyone. Due to the trauma he had faced a years ago, he's got the scar marring his shoulder and going up the side of his neck; scarily close to his jugular. The scar looks like how it was caused: by fangs. He's got a mole under his left eye, plump lips that are consistently the shade of lovely rose red, and hair that are the color of warm sand.
Hyunjin is the soft shy 'geek' in school. He's all about action movies, conspiracy theories, paranormal, and supernatural sightings. He aces art, science, and math but is also rather good when it comes to writing poetry and stories, hence why he's double majoring in dance and literature. Hyunjin is wickedly smart for his age and aspires to maybe be a dance instructor some day or maybe even a doctor. Despite being shy, Hyunjin is also abnormally sweet and considerate; compassionate for those around him. He's thoughtful, patient, understanding, and creative. However, due to the cause of his mother's death, he also has a deep fear of wolves (understandably) for what had happened. It took him a while to even pet a dog much less look one in the eye.
