yoon jeonghan is the only child of yoon jangseuk the chairperson of heart of gale academe's board of directors, and the famous korean actress, jang mirae. despite being fully korean, however, he grew up overseas in france, living with his mother as his father decided to stay in korea to manage their academic business. here, he was known as soleil or just plain sol, due to his mother's love for the sun. even with the distance, jangseuk regularly visits his wife and son, bringing korean films and novels for jeonghan to read in order to learn the korean lnaguage. for fourteen years, he's lived in france, and having grown up there, he's taken their fashion and culture quite deeply engraved into his being.

whatever others may believe, jeonghan grew up as a happy man. in comparison to others, despite being an only child and his parents rather busy with work, they never failed to make time to spend with him. and even then, he was unsurprisingly popular among his peers in france, and has had many admirers. at ten, he became a model for a french magazine.

when he was suddenly brought to korea on an impulsive whim of his mother, who decided that as koreans they should live in korea instead of france, the shock jeonghan felt was a lot. he had to leave behind fourteen years of his life in order to adjust to a new world, a place that differed so much from the country he used to live in. 

however, with the help of his parents and the welcoming members of the yoon household, easing into the korean life was easier than jeonghan had initially expected. much like his life back in france, he became loved by his peers due to his positivity and genuine enthusiasm about most things. albeit living in a life of luxury, he remained humble, hence his nickname angel, adding to the fact that his birthdate meant the same.

his beauty not unnoticed, he was recruited as a model barely a few months after his arrival, his korean still new and shaky. with his parents' name well-known in their respective careers, it isn't an exaggeration to say that jeonghan's life has been under the spotlight for most of his life, only intensifying upon his arrival in korea. nevertheless, he was used to it. his father was a wealthy businessman, and his mother was an actress. he was invited to attend the business parties for his father, and celebrations with his mother.

truly, jeonghan was made for this life.

far too many people wanted to befriend him for connections, and he entertained them, of course. he didn't truly care, for he held none of them beyond an arm's length away from his heart. he had simply come to terms that this was the life he had to live, and there was nothing he could do to change it. it didn't matter what he wanted - he knew nothing else other than the life that was introduced to him. nevertheless, he still strived to be the best version of himself, to make his parents proud of him no matter what.

at his first year in heart of gale academe, he established the host club exactly a month after the first day of classes, claiming that the academe was far too boring for him to enjoy. he has been the president of the host club since then.

jeonghan is mostly known as a flamboyant, egotistical and dramatic man, who is often mistaken to be a part of the school theatre because of this flair. however, he is more than what he shows on the surface. he is incredibly dedicated to things he deems important, such as his academics, his friends, and his duties as a host. he is quite stubborn with what he believes in, and he will go to far lengths in order to protect the small sort of peace he's managed to build in the university.

truly living up to his nickname, he is most definitely the princely type when it comes to personality. a whole gentleman, forever polite, yet confident enough to use upper-class etiquette and shameless flattery to both men and women he comes across to. there is however, a fine line between his host persona and his true self. while he is poised and charming as a host, he often unconsciously poses himself in a childlike manner - an attention-seeker.

while he is often perceived to be outspoken and naive, he is mature enough to be the person his friends come to for advice. he is also surprisingly intelligent, easily one of the smartest in the academy. even without his money, he would have gotten into the university by easily passing the entrance exam. his academic standing, however, doesn't originate from hardwork, but from mere superior intelligence. however goofy or flirty he may be, he still manages to surprise people with his hidden thoughts and beliefs in regards to the things around him.

it should also be noted that he is spontaneous, an excitement-seeking kind of man. he is also extremely passionate, and his confidence may come off as arrogance and stubbornness at times.
