perfection laced her like a halo of celestial divinity. she was born the second half of a whole, hand clasped tightly to her twin's as he slid out of the womb first, pulling his younger sister out along with him moments after. The two of them were an absolutely etheral pair, pink cheeked and thrumming with the strength of a lion cub. there was just one problem. vampire twins were cursed. unnatural. freaks of nature. They were a rare anomaly, and it was even rarer for both to grow and survive into adult. But they were both strong, no trace of a whispered curse written on their countenances. 

at first both of them were adored and revered by all through out the land, but as they grew and started to develop their personalities, it became clear that heejin was not like other pure blooded, naturally born vampires. she was soft, compassionate towards humans, kind, and incredibly sensitive to emotions, in short she was labeled weak, and a freak of nature. What pureblood vampire had compassion for humans? a turned vampire having such sentiments was one thing, but for a born one this was a travesty. unheard of almost. luckily at least the sekhmets were cannibalistc as well, and heejin grew up mostly on vampire blood from her twin, too afraid and empathetic to bite a human. 

however one day it was clear something had to change, to stop the rumors, the sly side glances, the barely hidden laughs, and their mother had a human slave brought up for her daughter, and eventually was able to coax heejin into trying human blood for the first time. it ended in utter disaster. unable to control her blood lust, another abnormality for a pureblood, in a fit of ecstasy the princess had drained the slave completely and violently tore them limb from limb. when she came back to her senses she was completely broken. in an emotional tempest, she ran from the palace, and straight into a nearby village of unaware humans.

12 hours later she was found by her mother and brother, drenched head to toe in blood, with the bodies of the entire village strewn everywhere. blood stained the ground, a disgusting mix of different body parts all thrown together. and that broke her even more. and she vowed never to leave the palace grounds ever again.
