erena Motola is a child of cutthroat, dirty beginnings—from the names of people that raised her to the regular shady activity going on around her as she grew up—all starting in Sicily in the 1980's after the biggest trial in world history where 338 original Sicilian mafiosi were put on trail and convicted. This trail, known as the Maxi Trail, led to the violent retaliation where over 20 died and nearly 100 people were injured in calculative murders and bombings and, at the end of it all, Salvatore Riina and Leoluca Bagarella were arrested. With the two leaders of the Mafia out of commission, leadership was passed to Bernardo Provenzano in 1995. Provenzano's first act as leader was to halt the bloody retaliation campaign, replacing it with an era of quietness called the Pax Mafiosa.

Under this new campaign, state official murders were stopped and informant and their families were no longer being killed; the man choosing to make them retract their trial statements and fold instead. During this era of peace, there were many disgruntled members of the mafia that resulted in a great number of defectors. One of these defectors was a man named Giorgio "Gio" Motola. With the Mafia's sheer size and reach within west Siciliy, a number of these defectors had no choice but to relocate or end up bodies in the shadows of the island's many alleyways. Gio Motola found himself escaping to another island: the hell on Earth that is Grayhaven.

Just because he was on the run from Cosa Nostra didn't mean that Gio's life of crime and corruption was done. Despite his origins as an outsider, he managed to gain favor among quite a few allied gangs in Grayhaven by acting as a neutral middle-man and committing a variety of heinous acts; one of these gangs was a rising sukeban called Shi no Hana. While sukebans weren't nearly as common as they were in the 70s and 80s, Shi no Hana was going strong, led by an 18-year-old named Ito Shinju. Shinju was, by every definition of the word , troubled. She was an abuse survivor born to a drug-addict single-mother who eventually died at the girl's own hands. She started her sukeban that year after running away to Grayhaven with the goal of standing up for all sorts of underdogs and weaklings: other girls their age, children, women, and any other minority groups. They were often violent but always managed to evade, or even escape, local authorities. Gio fell for Shinju. Hard. He did everything he could to secure her as his and, not complaining, she did everything to secure him as hers.

Gio was made an official, very useful member of Shi no Hana. The little 10-member gang only expanded from there over the years: accepting more men but staying predominantly female—essentially, those underdogs in need of a home or those that despised authority-abusers—and they became a major name in the Grayhaven. Three years into their relationship/reign, and numerous false-pregnancies or miscarriages, Shinju gave birth to a little girl that they named Serena.

From an extremely young age, Serena was taught three things: trust no one outside of your family (Shi no Hana), trust your gut, and ask questions later. She was taught self defense, in many forms, starting from a little after she could walk, and manipulation and deceit as soon as she was able to grasp the concepts. The golden rule, above everything else? Protect the ones who can't protect themselves, by any means and without making yourself know. SnH was never in it for the glory, after all. This was all prerequisite stuff, for her own protection as she grew up among a gang that was quickly gaining traction among the underground world. It was only as Serena got into middle school that her parents started to teach her about the real ins and outs of of the gang world and began grooming her to take over one day. She was never revealed as the child of the gang's founder though, for her own safety.

Things were looking great for Shi no Hana and the Motola family until the day of the little heiress's 16th birthday. The party was private and heavily guarded but SnH has enemies and the anti-hero organization had recently killed the co-founder of another gang in the area after the police failed to arrest him for . The gang chose to retaliate and a few members managed to find out identities and location, thanks to a few traitors, and start a fight that only last for a few minutes, but ended with quite a few casualties. Shinju and Serena managed to get away from the brawl but got into a wreck when their wheels were shot, causing the car to spin out.

By the end of October 9, 2017, the leaders of SnH were dead and comatose, leaving their teenage daughter to assume leadership. Though it was a task that Serena was long since prepared for, the first few months were tough. She was healing from a major leg injury, caring for her mother, and the gang saw a lot of rank and membership changes as the rats were taken care of. Rena also ushered in a different kind of SnH where they weren't allowed to kill people, just serious injure to get a point across. Now, 19, Serena is a professional, prodigal violinist by day—having played the instrument since late elementary school—and a high school dropout despite having had only half a year left before she decided to quit. By night, she's the baby-faced, unassuming leader of Shi no Hana, the quiet vigilante gang that promises to take care of the little guys by any means necessary.

Serena has what one would call a light-switch personality. She can be incredibly sweet, kind, and even cute when she wants to be but can be ruthless, silver-tongued, and brash at the blink of an eye. She's a very intelligent person, having excelled in school before she decided to drop out, and she's manipulative with a capital M. Serena's cute face and small stature are her biggest assets in this department. Since it's exceedingly rare for someone to know that someone in SnH is actually a member, no one every suspects that the barely legal violinist is the conductor of the whole organization. As she was raised, Serena hates any sort of injustices and will stand up against them, whether the gang is commissioned to or not. She can be paranoid due to the sudden death of her parents and will have a myriad of weapons on her person at any given time. Her favorites are the knife she got from her mom with the dragon-painted hilt (x) and the silver tommy gun (x) from her dad that she keeps in one of her instrument cases. She's also never opposed to a good nailed-bat to get a job done easily. Despite having never killed, Serena has a bit of a sadistic streak in her. It doesn't come out often, but if someone's done anything particularly atrocious to a victim, she likes to make sure they suffer 10x more pain while still living to tell the tale.

Writing & Plotting Style

•.*★ writing style。 I do script and semipara to para. All are generally done in 3rd. Lengthwise, I end up writing anywhere between 1 and 4 paras. It depends on muse, mood, and how many plots I have in general. I never try to match, you shouldn't feel like you have to either.

•.*★ plotting style。 I prefer plotting over winging most times, but I can wing. Because of this, I'll often do vague-ish plots that provide enough detail for you, but also give me enough room to play with our ideas. I also don't typically approach people unless I have a plot or idea in mind, and I really like when people do the same. Saves a lot of time.

Starting should always depend on logic. If it makes more sense for something to start from your characters point of view, I'd strongly prefer that you start. The same goes for me.

I like rooms over walls and walls over pm. Most plots I do are public friendly too, and when they aren't, I take them to walls/PMs. Sometimes i like to move rooms as the plot calls for it, it's immersive.
