Na Jaemin♙ 1 second ago Reply
i would also just like to say as a disclaimer that serialkiller!jaemin here does not reflect any of my personal views fkdjsafksdh i feel like i should put that out there lmfao

name: na jaemin
role: citizen
occupation: trust fund baby
age: 19
short bio: an abusive mother, a neglectful father and a quick fall down the stairs at age five. these are the reasons people would use to explain why jaemin does the things he does in the dark. by day he is the city's richest under-20. by night? the city's most notorious serial killer. his main targets are workers, strippers, escorts, etc. those he views as impure and sinful in the eyes of god (a belief instilled in him from his mother). the police and yakuza are both after him for different reasons. one perhaps for justice, and the other for targeting a source of income. who will catch him first, if at all? [more to come.]
preferred pov: 3rd - semi, para, novella if inspired by very rare

notes for bio
tw: child abuse, religious imagery, brutal murder / killing, death & death mention

- from a young age he was used to his mother physically abusing him, it started with corporal punishment for misbehaving (as most children do) and every instance would end with a prayer and a warning "god sends bad boys to hell. only good boys get to go to heaven."
- christianity (specifically catholicism) was / is a huge part of jaemin's life, he and his mother attended church every sunday together, usually without his father as the man was always busy. jaemin loved going to church, staring up at the cross displaying jesus with nails in his hands and feet. he loved it even when his mother would pinch him hard to pay attention, even when his nice sunday clothes felt too rough against his scrapes and burns that she'd inflicted on him the night before, or even just before service. at home his mother would read him passages from the bible before he slept, scattered with her own beliefs. jaemin began to think of her as a saint. as holy. as someone to praise, even when she made him cry, or bleed, or burn.
- jaemin's father was a very busy man, or so he would say. this may have been true during jaemin's early childhood, but the work meetings soon turned into rendezvous with his mistress, a worker at the local brothel / club. jaemin had not been aware of this at first, at least not directly. his mother's abuse got worse. she developed a drinking habit, as well as smoked a lot more than usual. her bible readings before bed became speeches of hatred towards sinful women who sold their bodies just to survive. how vile, she would tell him, how sickening and disgusting. they deserved to die. sometimes his mother would drink herself to unconsciousness at his bedside, and jaemin would lay there, staring at her slumped over his legs. he took everything she said to heart, her anger becoming his as he watched his family fall apart. watched the most important person in his life turn into a shell of herself - only coming alive during screaming matches with his father or when she was beating jaemin in a fit of anger.
- at age 14 jaemin's father died of a heart attack. he remembers the night clearly. his father's mistress had been home, they were having in his parents' bed, his mother was passed out at the dinner table with a bottle of whiskey in dangling from her fingers, and jaemin was in the hallway, just watching as his father started gasping, unable to form words, clutching at his heart as his mistress frantically called 911. he did not move, even when the police arrived, until they pulled him away from the bedroom door. he knew his father was already dead.
- at age 16 jaemin's mother died of a sleeping pill and alcohol overdose. she completely lost herself after the death of her husband, taking everything out on jaemin. they were the worst final two years of the abuse he had endured since childhood. still, he loved her. he loved her more than anything, save for god, as she had taught him. she was his angel, his saint, everything holy and good and pure. not like the sinful mistress of his father, or the workers roaming the streets of the city, spreading their evil among the rest of the people, corrupting, like they had his father. no, his mother was pure and good of heart. even as she put a knife to his neck. even as she threatened him with broken vodka bottles. even as she lay convulsing in bed, accidentally killing herself with drink and too many pills to aid her sleep. for the first time in years jaemin had cried at his mother's bedside when she died. he had been numb. a maid had to call the police as jaemin had not left her, and when police and paramedics arrived he screamed and kicked and thrashed as they pulled him away from her.
- there's an in between period here that i have yet to think of so we'll get back to it
- at age 17 jaemin killed for the first time. to this day he will claim that it was his mother's voice that guided him into doing it. "avenge me." he found a girl on the street corner, she was 21 at the time. he asked her to come home with him and promised a large sum of money for her services. when they arrived at the almost mansion-like building where he lives, jaemin lead her to the kitchen, and left for a moment. when he came back he bludgeoned her from behind with a cement block from the garage. this is the murder in which he learned how to properly clean up the evidence, and buried her body in the large basement beneath the mansion. (side note: give him background with interest in how to preserve dead bodies ? not sure yet)
- more killings to be described ? (i want to make like a wiki-type page or a police info page or a newspaper page type thing that describes the victims of this murderer - need to come up with the media's name for him, the street corner killer ? the cross killer ? the angel of death ?)
- jaemin's signature for his murders is that his victims will have various cuts on their bodies in the shape of a cross. he also adorns them with a necklace with a silver cross on it (reflective of the one that used to be his mother's which he always wears beneath his shirts). the bodies, when found, are also very clean. he kills them at his home, cleans them and preserves them to remove any evidence and then dumps the bodies in locations around the city to serve as a warning to all other workers, es, escorts, strippers, stars, camgirls / boys, etc. most of his victims are female (due to the influence of his father's mistress being female) but he has also dabbled in male victims of the same profession.
- the mansion is empty except for jaemin. he hires a cleaning service every month to get rid of any dust, dirt, etc. left in the house. he got rid of the entire staff after his mother's death. when the hired cleaning crew arrives they are told not to entire his mother's bedroom or the basement.
- currently jaemin is 19. he has been killing for almost 2 years and has gotten quite a bit of media attention for his murders, though no one has put the pieces together yet. most people don't expect such a high profile figure to be a serial killer. he's also good at covering his tracks, though one day he may slip up. over the past almost two years he has had over 30 victims and counting. his style of killing is known to be brutal. bludgeoning, beating, mutilating, cutting, strangling, etc. his victims all die in various ways, and are only tied together by the cross marks and cross necklaces. (side note: smart enough to place bodies in areas next to rivers where any other possible evidence is washed away by the water ? or he takes them out on rainy days ? not sure yet)
- as for his public persona as an extremely rich young man, jaemin can often be seen attending parties and art galleries in his free time. he has enough money that he doesn't need to work, and he has an image to maintain (the last place he'd rather be is a party or an art gallery). the only time he likes to leave the house is to attend church, which he still does regularly every sunday. the same church he went to with his mother as a child.
- (side note: perhaps more victims unknown bc sometimes he decides to bury them in the basement like the first victim ? maybe he has a shrine or something in the basement ? not sure yet)

plots and such
fly in a trap // yakuza member // it was completely by accident that you managed to catch jaemin in the act of dumping the body of one of his victims. a victim that just happened to be a pet / worker to the gang you're a member of. you capture jaemin and bring him back to base, and it's only there that you realize who exactly he is. are you horrified by his actions, or do you not care as a member of a gang that has probably done worse? do you threaten him to stop killing the gang's workers, do you strike a deal, or do you plan on turning him in or ending his life?
no // policeman // jaemin doesn't really have friends. even you, who may have been very close to him as a friend in childhood, have drifted from him. you guys still meet up from time to time, either at events, or for dinner or just to talk. you seem to still care a great deal for him (do you really?). you do not suspect jaemin of being the serial killer plaguing this city until one night you stumble across the basement in which a small portion of his victims have been buried. do you turn him in as it is your duty, or are you more loyal as a friend?
labyrinth // citizen (specific profession: psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist, counselor, etc.) // at the suggestion of his doctor jaemin has come to you for mental help - he doesn't really want to be here, but the two of you make it work as best as you can. however, there are certain things jaemin says that leave you wanting to know more, and feeling as if he's not completely divulging the truth. what exactly goes on in the head of one of the city's youngest elite?
welcome back // anyone // just a few years ago you were employed at the na mansion as one of their many housestaff. then you lost your job when jaemin's mother passed and he fired every single employee. you can't find it in yourself to hold it against him that hard, considering you were also their to witness some of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother. you two meet again now by chance, and while you've already been living a new life, you accept jaemin's invitation for a visit back to the na estate, for old time's sake and to see how the young man is doing. over time the two of you become something less than friends, but more than strangers. how long will it take until you discover the dark secrets hidden in the walls of the na mansion?
starstruck // anyone // the majority of people recognize that killers are horrible, terrible people - and then there is the small percentage that looks up to them, idolizes them, wants to be them or be with them. perhaps you fall into that second category when it comes to the city's current infamous killer. you have made it your life's mission to find out who it is, to join him? to be with him? to help him?
prisoner // anyone (that isn't a worker) // somehow, someway, you've discovered jaemin's secret - that he is the one killing in the city. however, before you can tell anyone he captures you and chains you in the basement of his mansion. you don't understand why he's keeping you prisoner there, or why he feeds you and makes sure you're taken care of for the most part (besides the chains and the fact that you're surrounded by buried dead bodies). it's simple, to him. he cannot let you escape and tell anyone, but he believes it's wrong to kill you. he only kills sinners. will you try to prove to him that you're okay to let go, or will you slip up and make him think you a sinner like all the rest?
