history / where it all started.

She'd always been fond of reading manga herself, isekai being one of the genres in her accumulated pile of books, but was it really possible to happen to her in real life?

Her day started pretty normally, morning routine in Tokyo no different from the one in Miyagi: wake up, cook breakfast, eat, shower, get ready to go out. The only variable had been her mother giving her extra instructions to stop by the bank to update her account. New city, new school—she's a university student now!—new people to meet; a part of her wished she had stayed in Miyagi, but then again, her friends also did their part in encouraging her to broaden her horizons. They knew her well enough to dispel any anxiety she was feeling—Hinata even went so far as to make himself an example, and he wasn't wrong: Brazil was on the other side of the world, and if he can conquer that, then Tokyo by comparison will just be a walk in the park for her.

Well, hopefully.

One minute Hitoka was just on her way to meet up with a friend from high school, but as soon as she exits the station, she's faced with a whole new world—and it's the kind of world that even Princess Jasmine would not understand. When did Tokyo get so... advanced? Granted, Japan in general was a tech-savvy country, but this? It was far more than she had been aware of. Sleeker and faster cars, virtual screens mid-air, buildings even taller than she remembered; was she even IN Japan? The people milling about were of different races, so she wasn't really sure.

To say Hitoka was scared would be an understatement—she was terrified, panic just gripping her petite stature at the mere notion of being somewhere wholly unfamiliar. The only thing that kept her in check was the fact that she's basically an adult now, 18 being the usual age when kids would leave home to look for jobs and make a name for themselves in the world. Eventually, Hitoka managed to make do—she'd checked her bank account (surprisingly enough, her account exists in THIS world; a good thing, because money is basically a necessity at this point), found that she had enough to get her by for the next few years, and decided to reorganize.

Over the next few days after arriving in the new... place, she had found herself a 1SLDK-esque apartment (not much, but it's enough; plus, for the cheap rent, it had great amenities and was located in a good area), gotten a part-time job (a flower shop clerk), and enrolled herself into university, where she was given a full scholarship to study in the Fine Arts department (lucky). All these preparations just to let her survive this world, and all she has to do is wait for the day when she gets yanked back to her own world, back home.

That had been five years ago, five long years of questioning just when she will be able to finally go back home; does Mom miss her? How are the others doing? Every single day she has been on the constant lookout for any telltale signs that she's back in Tokyo—busy streets, normal cars, Japanese idols on giant LED screens—but sadly, she still isn't. Now, Hitoka is on her last year of university, struggling to stay afloat so she could still keep her scholarship; how she did it for the past four years, she honestly didn't know.

The newest and most surprising development though, is her job as a mangaka—she started drawing manga panels on a whim during her second year in university, detailing her daily life as a high school student back in Miyagi, and she'd posted it on her Twitter account, catching the eye of a big publishing company. For a newbie they really gave her consideration, thoroughly discussing plans and taking her input seriously, offering her a pay that would make the other mangakas back in Japan envious; she chose to work under penname Miyake Nika and went from struggling part-timer to a BL manga writer overnight, and has been a celebrated artist ever since.

Hitoka's thinking of a change of pace, though—how about she draws of her experiences after being transported to this world? That would be interesting.

Writing & Plotting Style

•.*★ writing style。 I feel iffy about using 1st, so my writing is limited to 3rd pov only. I go for script or para, either way is fine. Length depending; I try to mirror my writing partner's, but on some days I may write lots, though I've never done novella.

•.*★ plotting style。 I prefer plotting over winging most times. If I really feel like it, I might jump in and do a winged scenario with just about anybody, but I do prefer to have a structured plot. Please, try to have something in mind before actually talking to me about roleplaying!

If we do plot, I tend to ask a lot of questions – please, don't be put off by it! This is to ensure that we're on the same page, and if you're going to be comfortable with the way I write. Starters depend on which person makes sense; if it's better to start with my pov, I'll gladly do it!
