freedom is earned, never given.

freedom
something so desired, yet somehow so unattainable. the very thought can cause butterflies while causing heartache in tandem. what one wouldn't give to simply... be free.

childhood wasn't sweet. 
family wasn't loving.
hope wasn't found.
after twenty years of pain, of palpable misery.. she could be free. no longer would she be plagued with the cacophony of voices screaming that she was not good enough; not worthy to see the light of day... not whole enough to be complete. you see, when you come from a 'family' of people who expect perfection and give them a hybrid.. well, it never goes as you'd expect.
poked, prodded, bled dry, and starved of food and water until the shreds of consciousness were no longer in her grasp.. 
one silly mistake. one simple oversight that left them thinking she was too weak to run away, to broken to leave them.
blood.. so much blood and finally, a deafening silence.

no one knows what truly happened to the blossom family. no one survived that day, or so they were lead to believe..
