Minki never really had much of a choice in what happened to him in his life. Born with a addiction because of his crack of a mother, he was lucky to have even survived infancy. It did not take his mother long to realize she could use her pretty son for extra income, and many of Minki's earliest memories were of strange men and the sickly sweet smile of his mother as she brought them into his room.
The self harm started early on too. His inner thigh decorated with scars from the razors to try to cover up the disgusting bruises that never seemed to go away. It was the only control he had over his own body. He started using drugs early on too. His arms littered with track marks, and he was almost always drinking. Things didn't change for him until he was 19 and accidentally solicited an undercover detective. He was brought into the precinct and given a choice. He could face prison time for ion, possession, and trafficking, or he could get them information. He chose the latter.
That was how he became a criminal informant. Telling the cops anything they wanted to know about the criminal activities in his part of the city. He was compensated well for it, and after they busted the human trafficking ring in Minki's neighborhood he was given special protection and a pension to live off of.He used the money and the new freedom to go to rehab and counseling. He's hoping for the chance to finally turn his life around and make something of it.

Understandably, Minki tends to be a bit pessimistic. He's not overly social, preferring to keep to himself as often as possible. He doesn't really know how to connect with other people, especially people who have never been broken before. He understands broken people, he feels at home with them because he knows he doesn't have to explain why the world isn't cupcakes and rainbow sprinkles. He doesn't have to explain the scars, or the nightmares that still haunt him. Broken people understand. He doesn't really know what he wants to do with is life moving forward, he's just trying to stay sober and maybe find someone who can help him do that.
LIKES the sound of the city at night. those little pastries you can get at gas stations and corner stores. the rain at night. the quiet of a winter night.
DISLIKES Neon lights. crowds of people. bright lights. the heat of a summer day. overly sweet foods and people.
