appearance: tall, muscular, well built from years of being a strong one before his rank changing after becoming yuliang's mate. keeps his hair long enough to get in his eyes and be a general annoyance but refuses to cut it past a certain length. his birthmark is on his left shoulder.

background: 

• born into a rich, very traditional family in the wen pack, max was raised to respect the pack's core values. as he got older he realized that he disagreed with most of them, but he was never able to be vocal about this dislike. he would lose his position in his family and be ostracized for his belief. and so growing up max was the perfect little soldier for his parents, the perfect alpha son. 

• dreams of one day becoming a doctor were buried so that max could focus on becoming a warrior. a strong, powerful alpha who had no daydreams about choosing his own life path. his parents had never tried to hide that they would one day pick an omega for him to mate and have pups with. 

• of course, when they betrothed him to wen yuliang of all people, max thought there must have been some kind of mistake, but no, he was to be married to wen ruohan's omega son. their relationship had a rather rocky start, distrust on yuliang's part and hesitance to make the omega distrust him more on max's. 

• but five years ago, wen ruohan died and yuliang had to shoulder the mantle of wen leader, while grieving his younger brother as well. during this time max was there as someone yuliang could rely on. the anchor that kept him from drifting away, the rock that held him steadfast even when tides tried to sweep him away. 

• and, two years ago, max and yuliang were finally married.  

trivia:

• his smiles are precious gems that are only directed at wen yuliang.

• can usually be found with a book or a sketchbook in hand. 

• used to play guitar, but he hasn't picked up a guitar since the war. 

• protective of yuliang. extremely so. if someone is bothering his mate, max will probably punch them (lan sehun). 

• mistaken for the dominant partner, thinks it's funny. doesn't bother to correct anyone. 

• once wore a maid costume because he lost a bet with nie jiyang.
