Background | Taemin was raised by only one parent. The other parent was absent in his life, and he wasn’t told what happened to them or why they weren’t around. Growing up, Taemin helped their parent in tending the graveyard. Every time after school, he would clean the tombstones and place flowers into vases. Not only do students at school avoid him, claiming he was creepy, but the adults on the street too, saying he carried bad luck. Taemin didn’t mind — it wasn’t as if live interaction was necessary for their daily life. They could talk to ghosts just as well, though people just think they’re having a verbal monologue. Taemin’s parent died on his sixteenth birthday, leaving him as the new caretaker of the graveyard.
