chapter one

Her parents told her that on the night Zelda von Nacht was born, the stars twinkled their brightest to light the way for their little comet who surely would shoot her way right up towards the sky. This was no passing comment of affection to the little girl, but a prophecy that foretold her destiny on this Earth. She was determined to become a star shining brighter than all the rest no matter what it took.

Born in Hamburg, Germany with a German father and Korean–American mother who were happily married, life began simple. She never had to want for anything as she was doted on, loved and protected throughout the years. Yet as the youngest sibling amongst three, she was the von Nachts' most spoiled baby girl as Princess Z got everything and anything she ever wanted.

Their unorthodox family were anything but normal. Deemed strange for their Neopagan beliefs and notably macabre creative expressionism, the von Nachts indulged in their personal values and embraced their uniqueness. While her mother nurtured her with love, support, and spirituality her father encouraged Zelda to dive deep into her artistic creativity. From a young age she was granted vocal lessons and entered into dance studios so she could hone her passions, looking up to all the glittering musicians and idols she wished that one day she could join alongside.

chapter two

Even as a young girl, she knew the best way to achieve her dreams was to gain as much exposure as humanly possible. Once begging her parents for a video camera on her birthday, Zelda immediately began filming and recording covers to launch her new YouTube channel. At first the viewership was next to nothing, driving her mad with impatience, but she refused to give up. Soon she brainstormed other forms of content to bring attention to her social media presence, posting cute aesthetic vlogs and artsy Kpop-centered content to boost views on her covers.

All it took was a bit of dumb luck and the algorithm putting her vocal cover of the popular song "Idol" on the trending page of YouTube to finally get what she deserved. Almost overnight her subscribers and views rocketed to the million mark. Just a few months later with encouragement from her fans and family, she began filming audition videos to send to international entertainment companies. Naturally her first pick was Lotus, working harder than ever to push through each audition phase until she was picked amongst hundreds of other hopefuls to be signed as a trainee under their label.

Finally she earned her golden ticket to stardom and rejoiced at her newfound success, yet this would only be the beginning.

chapter three

Once she was old enough for highschool, her parents happily arranged her greencard to move to South Korea and begin formal training. Suddenly she was all on her lonesome in the big city of Seoul, yet feeling more determined than ever to overcome whatever obstacles were thrown her way. Already she began studying even harder and practicing for the entrance exams to enroll in the famous School of Performing Arts Seoul, beginning her tough journey as a foreigner in one of the most cutthroat competitive schools a teen could attend.

It wouldn't be the first time Zelda dealt with bullies and outcasting, having had her fill back in Germany when religious zealots targeted her and her family for their spirituality. This time she wouldn't permit anyone to push her around or walk all over her. As much as she embraced every new experience and opportunity to make friends, she was equally building up protective walls with her fierce personality and sharp tongue. Those who had something to say behind her back would get a mouthful directly to their faces. Anyone who picked on her or her most cherished friends would feel the pain of justice, often delivered through cunning sabotage schemes to destroy their reputation within the school or downright cutting with her perfectly manicured claws 'til she saw blood when school staff weren't looking.

Before long the blonde rebel of SOPA was garnering a name for herself amongst the student body as a party loving troublemaker who broke and bent the rules, much less a ruthless adversary to those who dared make an enemy out of her and her friends. Finally she made it through years of hard work, ceaseless practicing, being forced to perform time and time again on behalf of the school for their sleazy donors, and being the knight in bedazzled pink armour. Zelda graduated and could focus full time on her Lotus trainee activities.

The outside world never learned of her secret tough side though as she continued her training and, with company permission, kept uploading regular videos to her social media so she could maintain relevancy with her small yet ever growing fanbase. Now she's determined to reach for the stars and make her dreams come true, no matter what it takes.
