after the titanomachy, she was told to focus on finishing school and etiquette. while she had a penchant for a feminine, karina always found herself more interested in the darker aspects of femininity — a penchant owed to her deity identity. being a makeup artist was a good way to pass time, but also a good way to conceal her bloodlust in an inconspicuous way. weapons hidden in her lipstick, powder, as she catches those who wrong women (or other vulnerable beings) while undercover. instead of embodying the archetype of the subservient woman expected of her time in 1923, she merely weaponized it as a façade.
