Description
han jisung.

fresh start,
new beginning.

Orpheus — no, Jisung pulled himself from his slumber, staring first at the blank ceiling above him. It was the same as the day before, and it would be the same the next day. Nothing exciting, nothing new, just... empty. The poet was alone, left to his own devices, and it was his own damn fault.

He never should have looked back. He knew that from the second he turned his head, he never should have done it. He should have trusted, believed, kept moving forward. Instead, her hand slipped from his, and he lost her... again.

He wouldn't make the same mistake. If the Fates brought him here (that's what he assumed, of course) then he would make right on his second chance. Should he find Eurydice again, he would never let her go, he would never look back to make sure she was following him. He would trust, he would believe.

He would have his love back, and do it right.

o some, poetry came easy, and to others it was a feat to put pretty words on paper, much less to a tune. But Orpheus, well... Orpheus was something else entirely. Considered the best of his time, a master of his craft, the young man seemed to have art and creativity flow through his veins. He could sing, he could play instruments, and most importantly, he could make words sound prettier if they came from his very lips.

Orpheus himself joined the expedition of the Argonauts, and his presence saved the members of said expedition because of his ability to fight against and overpower a siren's music with his own. Due to this, when he returned home, he was able to marry the girl of his dreams: Eurydice.

The two were inseperable, even before their marriage. She was beautiful and shy, he was talented and handsome. They only had eyes for each other. Their marriage, however, would prove to be a short one. Perhaps it was a jealous stranger, or perhaps it was due to his own carelessness, but Eurydice had been bitten by a snake, soon succumbing to the venom and dying. His happy marriage was no more.

Taken by grief, Orpheus made his journey to the Underworld, where he played his lyre for the king and queen of the damned. Moved by his music, he was granted permission to bring his darling wife with him back to the living. However, he was given one stipulation: he had to trust that she was following, and not look back.

He looked back. He looked back, and he watched as his lover sank back into the Underworld, out of reach, unable to be saved.

Even to this day, Orpheus isn't sure what made him do it. Did he not trust the words of the king and queen? Was he so caught up in love that he had to look back and get another look at her? He can't tell, he can't pinpoint it, but from that moment on, the musician was taken by grief. He swore to never love another again, and soon everything was a dull shade of gray rather than the beautiful colors of life he had before.

Perhaps it was wishful thinking, or maybe it was the Fates looking upon him in pity, but one night as he was stroking the strings of his lyre, Orpheus had made an offhanded wish to be far away from his sorrow. He had wished for a second chance. He fell asleep with his fingers on the instrument, and when he opened his eyes again, it was a whole new world — literally.

It has been six years since Orpheus opened his eyes in Fabletown.

It took Orpheus a bit to get acquainted with the world he was in, but what didn't take too long was to find his passion for music and poetry and art again. He chose his new name carefully — obviously, he couldn't be walking around claiming to be Orpheus of Thrace. Han. 한. One. One true love, one reason to continue. Eurydice, his muse, his love. His one and only. Jisung was a name he picked up off the Internet (or was it a magazine?), just something offhanded to complete his thoughts. Han Jisung. Han Jisung, a musician, a poet, and soon, a beloved producer.

Over time, Orpheus (now Jisung) had begun making music, and it went from his mouth, to paper, to the world around him. In the time he has been in Fabletown, he has made a good name for himself, producing music (both for himself and others) under the name J.ONE. He wouldn't consider himself a celebrity in this world, but his fame follows him; from Ancient Greece to Fabletown, he is a star.

their personality.

basic summary.

Overall, Jisung is an easygoing person. He prefers to go with the flow of things, is much less likely to step out of his comfort zone, and takes great care of the people and things that matter most to him. He's cute, friendly, and pretty chill. He used to be a lot fiester (and can be when in a higher emotional state) but he's toned down over time, which he's actually quite proud of。

Before You Approach Me

•.*★ important。 My timezone is gmt-8 (pst). I work full time and I am a student. Please keep that in mind when writing with me.

Writing & Plotting Style

•.*★ writing style。 Generally, I mirror. As long as anything is detailed, I don't mind. However, do not expect me to do novella replies. I am far too busy for that.

•.*★ plotting style。 I can either plot or wing. However, I don't want to sit in a plotting state for too long, as it generally doesn't get out of that stage. Plot bunnies, brainstorming, etc. anything is welcome.

•.*★ overall。 I'm cool with just about anything, but i require communication. Not feeling a plot? Want to change or stop things? Just talk to me. I will understand, and I will do the same.

Activity & Reply Speed

•.*★ important。 Please do not poke me. I am aware of where I have replies, and I will get to it when I can: likely, my schedule or muse is being fickle, and I will always communicate that.

Actual replies may come a bit slower, so please don't think I'm ignoring you or putting anything off just because I'm active in chat or replying to someone else. It's probably just muse or whatever.

Location Preferences

I'll write anywhere, honestly. I prefer rooms first, then walls, and then pms (likely group pms for threads). Plotting can also happen in pms. Whatever fits the thread best works for me!
