When he was sixteen was the first time he regressed. It was only about an hour long, and he was only with his mother at the time, so she pretended that nothing had happened and brushed it off entirely, more concerned about their image than whatever was going on with her son, but the next time it happened was at school, and it was much worse.
People started picking on him, making jokes and filling his locker with pacifiers and bottles. It wasn't until a group of much older students pinned him down and stapped him into a diaper that he really lost it, crying and regressing completely, looking at them with a scared expression as they shoved him around, and he tripped, falling down the stairs and crying out in pain.
Xiumin would now have to live with the consequences of a spinal injury, leaving him unable to walk on his own. That, coupled with the more and more frequent regression stages, is what landed him here, in Hospital Lavender.
