It was easy to forget when they fought like Gods but the battle between good and evil was one soldiered by mortals. Mortal with inconceivable powers and talents, yes, but mortals none the less. While the citizens of Metro City watched from the sidelines, heroes, villains and everyone in between lost friends, lost themselves, lost their lives. Heroes that seemed timeless began to age and retire. Villains that seemed like their reign of terror would never end eventually were incarcerated or put to death. Leaving gaping shoes to fill, and so many rose to the occasion. Som chose to keep the legend alive and take up the mantle of those they idolized. Others saw the opportunity to carve out their own path and lunged for it. The endless war raged on with new soldiers manning it.

TLDR: Your favorite heroes and villains are dead or retired and new goodies and badies are stepping up to the plate to fill in the gaps. Join as new versions of old icons or form a new character all your own.
