On our way to the new planet, one where we were promised a new life, new hope,
my comrade and I crashed landed on a world not far different from our own.
Our power cell in our ship was crashed, our contact with the outside world,
crushed to bits with little hope of ever returning to our home planet.
The other's with us quickly became extinct, unable to live with the flaura
and fauna of this region; however, it seems that those of use who are left,
are able to cope rather well with these new species outside the comforts of
our ship. We went out exploring, finding an abandoned facility in the process,
filled with medical equipment and food rations, which made us wonder, if there
was once others like ourselves who used to be here. Files were strewn everywhere,
filled with documentation on research similar to what we strived so hard to
to achieve: Human Cloning. The process was flawless, perfected in every way
imaginable. We soon set up our home inside this building; bringing
with us our medical equipment and immediately running tests to see if it
would work. Today, the Alpha 1 test series seems to be stable, showing
remarkable signs of growth and success. If we're lucky, they'll soon be
ready to be released from their medical pods and introduced into the
new world. From our planet, we originals each bear a symbol beneath
our right collar bone, and to keep track of our clones, we burned our
symbol into their skin as well, also placing upon them the ranks and
numbers to keep track of each new clone made. I cant help but become
a bit paranoid at times... Those born are starting to look similar
to me, taking on the same facial features and character traits.
I feel like I'm slowly loosing who I am, blending in with those
that are exact copies of me... Even my comrade mistook a clone
for me today, which hurt more than I thought it would. Perhaps
that's all I'll ever be to him, just another pretty face....
Just an imperfect clone.
