Watching as the other pulled up a chair and took a seat beside him he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that the nurse had decided to stay by his side. This was a rare occurrence. Not many people talked to Kyungil with the amount of sincerity that Seungyeol seemed to be giving. He just seemed so genuine to know the answer to the question he'd asked.

Going to college was pretty fun, but there weren't many bright and sincere conversations among the teens and young adults. The main thing that whirled in the minds of young college students was simple, partying. Although Kyungil didn't mind going to a few parties now and then he was pretty burnt out by now. He wasn't exactly a freshman anymore.

Kyungil looked over giving his full attention the the guy sitting next to him. By now the whole dip in the pool seemed to take a backseat. He could only focus on the moment. It's so confusing, why was he so captivated by this young nurse. 'Isn't he just doing his job?' Kyungil thought to himself. 'It's his job to be nice.' Kyungil kept telling himself. So why did it seem so natural.

"Save lives?" He smiled a bit embarrassed. "Well my job isn't nearly as important as yours." He was a bit flustered by the statement and his rosy cheeks proved it. Kyungil shook his head before clearing his throat and speaking up once again. "I'm sure my story is no where near as noble as yours. Heh," he hesitated. "I actually just kind of stumbled upon it one day." he shrugged his shoulders. "To be honest I needed the money and I saw a sign in the window of the building." Kyungil was a bit embarrassed by the admission. Had he known Seungyeol was going to ask that question he would have come up with some sort of a lie in an attempt to impress the other. "What about you" he asked.

@Kyungil Sungyeol was almost delighted, brewing inside when the other chuckled, a small laugh at his poor styled joke, ones that he usually received a glare at by adults and award smiled by children, but fir the first time maybe he wasn't' exactly awkward as he felt. He nodded slowly, a bit thankful in his choice of words. Not too old, right? Sungyeol hook the thought, biting his lip and admiring the latter's flushed skin. Reminded him almost of a fish, compared to what a person was before almost drowning in a pool.

Yet Sungyeol felt sort of lucky, to be the one examining the lifeguard. He knew his colleague from before would be all over him, and part of him would have been jealous, you see, Sungyeol wasn't exactly the lucky type. Being homoual, that is, had it's disadvantages, such as keeping it a secret from his entire staff, except for a few of those close to him. He felt he could be caught any minute, especially if he stuck around the male too long, he'd probably become so obvious hurt. Part of him also helped the other stayed the night, just so he could watch over him... because of his condition, he told himself.

He cleared his throat and began to write down all of the new information on the empty columns of the clipboard papers, making sure to write exactly what the other raid, if not, at least close to what he heard. He chuckled despite himself, hand covering his mouth like an awkward school girl, pausing to contain himself as he nodded. "Hmm.. a drowning lifeguard, never heard of it before," he chided quietly, setting the papers aside after he had finished. He felt shy again, almost awkward when he noticed the other continuing to look up at him, he wasn't exactly used to people looking at him. Though he should, because he's a nurse and he's dealt with millions of people every day.

Sungyeol finally moved out of his daze when he heard the latter speak up again, perking up at the mention of his name. Obliviously he would have wondered hos he knew, but then the boy looked down go see that his name badge was sticking right in the open and his cheeks flushed a bright pink before he nodded. "Y-You're welcome.. I mean, it is my job." He nodded slowly. In excuse to get closer, intrigued by the latter, he moved over to check the iv, noting it seemed stable. "I doubt you'll be here long anyway," he added, hoping his disappointment didn't show. "You'll be up and running some time tomorrow, back to your job and.. saving lives." he chuckled softly, nodding as he glanced toward the clock.

Sungyeol decided he had nothing better to do and sat beside the bed in a chair, hands on his lap as he awkwardly sat and cleared his throat, thinking of what to say or ask. "So.. why did you want to be a lifeguard?" he asked, just curious. "There's a lot of jobs out there, but.. what made you choose lifeguarding?"

@Seungyeol Donned only in his work uniform as a lifeguard, bright red swim shorts with a white waist band and symbol that signified that of a lifeguard. No shirt, though the paramedics had managed to scrounge up a mens white tank-top that was slightly too fitted for his muscular build. Kyungil flashed a smile in return of the others. The joke was pretty cute he would admit and for a moment it did help to dull the throbbing in his head caused by the splitting head-ache he'd acquired. "Don't worry I'm not that old just yet" he sneered.

He could tell the latter enjoyed his job. It was rare he had a good encounter with someone working in the customer service industry these days. It was just rare to see. It's like no one loved their jobs anymore, they just worked because they had too. Which was probably the case more times than none. Kyungil always vowed he would never work a job he despised or else he'd quit it right there on the spot, but that was easier said than done when bills pilled up to the ceiling.

He held out his arm and hardly flinched as the IV was inserted into his vein. He figured he'd have to stay the night in order to get all the fluids and electrolytes from the IV that where needed and at this point he almost didn't mind the fact. That is, if his current nurse would be the one on duty for the rest of his stay. He tried to push the absurd thoughts into the back of his mind. Besides, he wasn't gay. Right? At least, that's what he attempted to make everyone else believe.

"Well" he stated "I'm 23, 157 pounds last time I checked, 6 foot, blood type A and I'm allergic to penicillin." He smirked shaking his head a bit "I'm here because I'm a lifeguard yet I almost drowned." he admitted much to his chagrin. Then he let out a sigh "I passed out, I guess I've just been studying too hard lately and staying up at night. I was walking around the pool making my usual laps and the next thing I remember I was laying in the back of an ambulance." He continued to look up at the male as he spoke. Though, he had yet to admit the amount of non-prescription pills in his system that aided in the faint into the pool.

He wasn't so much focused on what had happened to get him into this situation as he was thankful that it had happened. While he watched the latter tuck a silky strand of hair behind his ear and stand so awkwardly in an attempt to seem professional. There was something about this kid that really drew Kyungil in. He wanted to know more, he had too. Whatever it took he'd do in order to get more time with the somewhat mysterious guy. "I appreciate it" he paused and looked at the latters name badge. "Seungyeol" he said and smiled a bit.

@Kyungil Lee Sungyeol wasn't exactly the happiest hearing the grooming of loud business in the hospital. It was especially hot that day, or mid evening to say exactly, and all he wanted was to go home to the comfort of his bed and cold frozen dinner as always. But now.. the paramedics rolled in a man in a gurney, the nurses and aids surrounding him as they took him to the designated and open room, Sungyeol falling quietly behind while trying to keep up with the others, only to be pushed behind when the crowd became too much. It died down in the room, however, and Sungyeol felt a lot better of doing his job. He couldn't recognize the man's face, though part of him thought he saw him some time, but maybe it was his imagination, he wasn't exactly the type to remember things if they weren't important.

He held the clipboard currently in hand as he stood beside the male, who happened to be handsome send much more older than he had expected, and slowly glanced over his information, one page at a time. He heard the other's voice and nodded, flashing a genuine smile, one he used on every patient, but some of those who happened to be in a worse condition received flowers and chocolates he could only buy from the gift shop because he also happened to be an awful cook. He loved the hospital, though he often wondered at time if people would just stop getting sick and bleeding all over him. But he loved seeing their eyes flash in regret, the way they thought differently about their life when they thought it was the end. He knew reality, and he saw it in other's too.

Sungyeol held the clipboard closed against his chest send he looked over the male humming softly. He almost seemed dead to the world, a zombie considering his eyes were mostly more open than closed. He seemed tired, worn out, but he wasn't exactly freaking out a she had expected. What happened? It was his job to find out. "A lot of it's old.. well, I sure hope you're not older than thirty," he joked softly, biting his lip and setting the clipboard aside. He was shy, almost and sometimes, but he loved how easily he got along with patients. Sometimes he saw them again after they got out, and other times... other times he stuck by their side as they passed, asking for at least one friend before they left the world. Sungyeol couldn't help but see the longing for life in their eyes, slowly dying like a light.

'He's handsome, too' he remembered his colleague saying, and Sungyeol couldn't help but agree. He nodded slowly, and began to hook the other up to the iv, slowly explaining the other to hold his arm still while he ou the clear tube into his arm, making sure everything was checked before he sighed a bit and nodded, finally getting down to answers. "Well, you can start by telling me your current information and uh.. why you're here." He said with a nod of his head, though feeling not so professional as he pushed a strand of hair behind his ear and stood straight, trying to look as professional as he could. "I'll be happy to cooperate you while I'm here, other nurses will be in and out here shortly, but.. we'll try our best to make you better."

Sungyeol couldn't exactly say he wasn't happy as a nurse. There were benefits; such as knowing what to do when he nearly cut his finger off, or when he caught a cold, or when someone hurt themselves and he just happened to have a kit beside him. He felt smart, and even though he wasn't a doctor, he loved meeting people, especially those in the hospital. He felt alone, but he also didn't when he went to work, he felt important. So as he watched over the male sitting in bed, he knew he could do something to help, to save a life, really. Oddly, his childish self would call him a superhero behind closed doors. He was proud of himself, and he hoped his parents were, too.

@Seungyeol The hospital had quietened down after an influx of patients had all been taken to their appropriate stations of the hospital. It was mid-evening. Around six forty five to be exact and the sun was beginning to fall. It had been a particularly hot day for this time of the month and some of the aids and nurses jokingly commented that it may have been the reason they had so many people coming into the E.R. Maybe some folks who didn't have proper air-conditioning thought this could be a way to keep cool on such a scorching day.

The Emergency room doctor had left for the evening to attend to some more important matters since there were no longer any critical patient that needed tending to. The hospital was known for it polite and curious nurses, and aids. They were some of the best in the state at what they did so needless to say the hospital stayed pretty busy.

All of a sudden the calm silence was broken. Sounds of the ambulance rang causing a raucous right outside the doors. The nurses knew the sound all too well and immediately went into action. The paramedics swung open the back doors of the ambulance. Pulling out a seemingly lifeless young man on a gurney. The nurses took over wheeling the man whom paramedics explained was a lifeguard at the Uptown Maroona apartment complex. They also explained he was in stable condition now just resting and most likely in need of fluids in order to re-hydrate.

"Heavy sleeper huh?" A female nurse and co-worker of Sungyeol's mentioned jokingly as she helped roll him into the room he'd be staying in. "He's handsome too." she admitted with a grin. The female nurses buzzer went off on her side signaling a call from another patient in the E.R. "Ah, well looks like you are on your own Sungyeol." She mentioned before exiting the room to attend to another eager patient.

Not even so much as a fluttered eyelash came from the exhausted Kyungil as he lay motionless in the new hospital bed that the paramedics had transferred him over to. Everything quietened down again and at last Kyungil who was still dripping wet from his episode in the pool cracked open his eyes only to watch as a handsome male nurse looked over a clipboard full of paperwork that had been given to him by the paramedics before their leave. "I can tell you whatever you need to know." He mentioned while looking up at the nurse. "A lot of that info is old."

hello. urm, can i go on a hiatus for two weeks? this week had been very difficult for me. i have a test next week and i'm deeply shocked and sad (like i'm crying right now) from eunb's death. she had been my bias since ladies' code's debut. so, the pain is really excruciating for me to swallow. so, yeah, i don't feel like roleplaying that much when i feel very sad.
