Amber's Apartment

The action made him smile, for some reason it made him feel at ease, he glanced at the time. "I can come when you want." His brow arched before turning his attention to her, he stood, tucking away his gun. "Are there any things I need to bring?"

@Huang ZiTao She couldn't help herself, and reached up to lightly ruffle his hair. "You're a good boy," Amber teased with a wide grin, dropping her hand back to her side. She tilted her head, eyes catching the time on a clock hanging on a wall across the room. "What about tomorrow morning then? Can you meet me here," she smiled but her eyes clearly expressed how serious she was with the matter at hand.

@Amber Liu He smiled with her comment before resting his gun against his thigh. "Well, since I do work for you now..." truthfully it had been a while since he had needed to shoot a gun, but something about Amber made him trust her. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something told him that he didn't need to worry like he did with his old boss. "I could go for some shooting, especially to impress an employer."

@Huang ZiTao Raising a brow, she grinned at the sight of his gun and slowly lowered hers. "Pretty boy," she mumbled, stepping closer to him, eyeing his gun for a moment. Tilting her head, she looked up at him, "Want to go to the shooting range with me?" She smiled, placing her gun down on the table and stretching.

@Amber Liu When Amber reappeared Tao watched her with the gun, and besides the brief panic one would feel when having a gun pointed at them, no matter how many times it had happened, he felt relaxed. He sat up on the edge of his seat, reaching into the back of his jeans as he pulled out his own hand gun to show her. It was a little flashy, black with gold embellishment, but that was his taste. "I have a little experience" He voiced once again, before he leaned back in his seat.

@Huang ZiTao She grinned, amused by how he explained himself. "Well, you'll be working for me from now on, so playing with fire might actually become fun," Amber cleared her glass of the last of the wine it held. Quietly, she got up from her seat and disappeared from the room for a moment, returning with a simple handgun in her hand. "Have any experience with guns," she tilted hef head and aimed it at him, expressionless now, "Or with killing people at all?"

@Amber Liu Scratching his ear Tao gave a little shrug to the left, "I have a little experience." He met her eyes for a moment, "I used to work under someone, but.." He thought about his choice of words, "it was mostly in debt."

@Huang ZiTao Unconsciously, her eyes followed his tongue as it crossed his lips. Amber blinked and then shook her head, "Well, now, I wouldn't say that. Looks can be quite deceiving," she hummed with a grin, "You might just be an example of that." She looked him over intently, "Do you have any experience dealing with anything life threatening?"

@Amber Liu Tao his lips as he set the glass of wine back down. He watched Amber as he bit his lip, "I don't seem the type do I?" He smiled, only the corner of his mouth turning up.

@Huang ZiTao Amber tucked her legs underneath her frame and hummed, shrugging her shoulders. "Then, you're welcome to come here whenever you want," her lips slowly pulled into a soft smile. "Now, back to your job search," her face had grown serious again for the first time since they'd started cooking, "Are you seriously interested in doing something dangerous?"

@Amber Liu He chuckled, of course she wasn't going to do anything to him, he was being too cautious. Shaking his head at himself he raised the glass to his lips. Her words catching him off guard, "I don't need a gift..." He smiled, keeping his eyes on hers, afraid she may think it rude of him to refuse.

@Huang ZiTao She watched him hesitate in amusement, simply sipping away at her drink. She took note of how cautious he was and couldn't help but to smile when he finally went for the wine. "Don't worry. I'm not going to poison you, and I won't drug you unless you want them." Amber , sipping more of her wine down. She tilted her head at his response and hummed, "You can take something if you want~ It'll be my gift to you."

@Amber Liu The sight of the two drinks paird with those words made his guard come up, was she trying to trick him? There had been too many bad experiences with drugs in his past due to him being careless with his drinks. Maybe a test? He looked up at her, she didn't seem to have ulterior motives. Carefully he lifted the wine glass, as he shook his head. "They're all interesting to me, I don't have many...things to look at where I live." He sipped.

@Huang ZiTao Amber brought back her own glass of wine and then brought him one as well, alongside his coke. "Take your pick," she grinned, settling on the couch and bringing her glass to her lips. She took a sip and then raised a brow, "Mm, various things. Some are just because the giver thought of me when they saw them, or they made it for me. Some are payment and some are just out of kindness." She told her tale with ease, taking another long sip of her wine, "Did you see something of interest you?"

@Amber Liu "Coke is great" He didn't know if it were appropriate to drink something harder, although he did feel a little silly upon seeing that she was having wine. "Gifts?" he thought about his words, "From ...?"

@Huang ZiTao "Do you want another coke," she asked, standing there for a moment and scanning him curiously. Amber finally carried herself back into the kitchen to retrieve drinks for the both of them, allowing herself some wine this time. It wasn't something she drank often, since she wasn't a fan of the taste but she wasn't going to give herself another form of alcohol. Yet. Maybe after he left. "Yes, for the most part. Some things are gifts," she admitted. She had thought to be a minimalist at first and for the most part she was. Considering how much she made one a regular basis, she barely spent any of it on herself.

@Amber Liu Perking up, Tao turned to her and smiled with a teasing nod. "Sure, if it's not a bother." He found a place to sit down and did such, he adjusted his clothes as he waited. "Did you buy all of this yourself?" He asked as he looked around.

@Huang ZiTao Amber hummed as she took and cleaned his dishes as well. She dried her hands and the counter, just wiping down a few things including the table once everything was done. Then, she made her way into the room where he was and tilted her head. "Having fun," she grinned, wrapping her arms around herself, "Did you want some more to drink?" She was treating him more like a guest rather than according to the fact that he'd come asking for a job. Then again, she couldn't really remember when she'd had any guests over that weren't there for business. They were usually gone by this point.

@Amber Liu He blinked slowly as he processed what she just said before smiling, it had been a while since he met someone who he could converse with in Mandarin.
He was about to protest to her saying she didn't need help but he thought it better to listen to her. Quietly he took his dishes to her before walking to the sitting area of her home, glancing over her decorations and along the shelves.

@Huang ZiTao "Hm, really? I can speak Mandarin, too," she flashed him a warm smile as she gathered the dishes. Shaking her head, she laughed quietly, "You don't have to. It's not much. Just...make yourself at home. I'll be finished soon." With that, she disappeared toward the sink and began to wash the dishes used as well as the counter and cutting boards.

@Amber Liu "ah..." He smiled a little nervously, he didn't know if he was maybe letting out too much information on himself or not. "my native tongue is Mandarin." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously before setting his glass down, "Yeah, thanks for the food. It was great." Carefully he wiped his mouth with his napkin, before looking around. "Do you need help cleaning up?" He thought of the mess they had created when assembling their meal.

@Huang ZiTao "What else do you speak," she raised a brow, her attention obviously caught. Finally finishing her food, she grinned at him, "Well, I guess you can say it has. Now, we just have to see where it goes from here." Sipping her drink, her mind immediately went to cleaning the dishes, catching herself before she could get up though. "Are you all full?"

@Amber Liu "I could practise my Korean." He smiled, leaning back in his seat while sipping from his glass. He relaxed while she finished eating, nodding with her comment. "That's a good way to think of things." He tilted his head while thinking, "Is our bond made?"

@Huang ZiTao "You'd probably bring a lot of customers in for coffee if you worked at the café," she grinned wide and got a few noodles into . She was surprised by his next comment, glancing up from her bowl to look at him. "You think so," she smiled warmly and tilted her head, "Sharing meals is a really good way to make or break bonds."

@Amber Liu "I like coffee." Tao smiled while he watched her, sipping his coke. He felt like they were making progress on getting to know one another, or at least he was skimming her top layer. He hadn't realised how long it had been for him to have a real human conversation. Any contact he had with new people usually meant a fight or a mark, but this was something proper. He had to admit that he liked it, "This is nice." He gestured to the two bowls and how they sat down at a table.

@Huang ZiTao Her glance met his but only for a short moment. "Anything really from my bookstore and coffeehouse to things more adult-related," she hadn't realized how awkward it was until she said it aloud, something she really wasn't used to doing. Whenever she usually discussed business, the other party typically knew which business they wanted to talk about with her. Something like this was all too rare. Brushed her hair from her eyes, she continued to eat.

@Amber Liu "What kinds of business?" He glanced up at her, when she added the second comment. He bit his tongue as he thought and sized her up before continuing eating. He chewed a while on a piece of meat while listening to her talk, after deciding to slow down after he noticed more than half his bowl was already gone.

@Huang ZiTao Amber couldn't help but to stop eating for a moment, watching him in amazement as he devoured his food. She wondered if he was even tasting it at all. "You're welcome," she hummed, going back to eating only to pause again for another brief moment. "I usually run my own businesses," she ate some more and then continued quietly, "And I'm a freelance...hitman in my free time." That probably wasn't at all the best way to word it but what could she do.

@Amber Liu There was something about the meal that had Tao stuffing his face. Maybe the fact that he'd not eaten in some time and maybe it was the juiciness of the steak. "This is really great, thanks again." He tilted his head as he thought, had he already thanked her? Shrugging to himself he took a sip of his coke. "What kind of work do you usually do, Amber?"

@Huang ZiTao Amber hummed for a moment and found a two-liter of coke in the back. Pulling it out, she poured it into the glass and put a couple of ice cubes into it. She brought back both their drinks and set them on table, finally sitting down to enjoy the food. "Bon apetit," she bowed her head and grinned before picking up her chopsticks and eating.
