@Ricky[S] Mark sat down in the chair across from the boy. "If I didn't care, would I be here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Mark leaned back and eyed the boy across from him. Mark didn't know his story, but he wanted to help. He wanted to be a friend. "Why do you have it? You can't survive this cruel world with only one penny. It won't buy you anything." Mark looked at the penny once more. "What is the penny's significance? Why is it important?"
@Mark[K] Ricky hears the little jingle of the chimes above the door, he looks at the door then back to his coin. When someone asked him a question he looks up. "A penny." He mumbles. "It's one of the only coins I have." Ricky sighs and goes back to playing with the coin. "It's not like you care..." he says under his breath. He looks around at all the happy people and rubs his eyes. He can fell tears stinging his eyes but he quickly wipes them away.
@Ricky[S] Mark walked into the parlour, unsure of what he wanted. Maybe some ice cream? Maybe a friend? He shrugged and went up to the menu, searching for something that sounded appealing. When he found nothing he decided to look at the burgers. He grimaced. Nothing sounded good. Maybe it was him. He sighed and went to walk out when he saw a boy. "Hey. What's that you got?"
Ricky walks into the parlour hoping to buy ice cream. He stares at the menu for about a minute then gets fed up and sits at a table. He sighs and takes out a coin from his pocket and plays with it. "Why am I poor?" He asks himself quietly. Ricky knows this answer but he doesn't like to answer it. He's saving up for a home one day, one of his own not a royal's house. He watches all the people in the parlour getting ice cream and being happy. The only thing he wished for was a home of his own. Ricky was unsure of what to do so he continues to play with the coin.
