@seyong And so, all of her questions were immediately answered the moment he spoke and she could only nod because she was pretty much unsure of what to say. Indeed, she recollected the last time meeting him a few years back when her parents held a family gathering and after that Seyong flew to who knows where to complete his high school education and neither of them, as well as their respective families, made an effort to keep in contact, both too occupied with their own lives.

Despite having the date cancelled, Sehyun was surprisingly happy and was not disappointed like she thought she would be earlier. At least her supposed date was her cousin and not some creepy guy behind a handsome face - her friends’ judgement of a perfect guy for her would be the last thing she would believe. And catching up with her cousin doesn't seem like a bad idea either.

She sat in silence for a moment or two, her eyes filled with curiosity, still wondering why would he be here in Seoul and not in Busan. Oh right, her friends did mention that the guy Sehyun was set up with studied in the same college so perhaps that is the reason? But since when? Snapping out of her stupor, she figured she most likely ought to say something instead of putting them ( mostly Seyong ) in an awkward situation. The girl shook her head at his apology and a soft chuckle to left her lips.

“It’s alright, don’t worry about it. Plus, us going on a date would be weird don’t you think so? And I’ll take both of that offer if you don’t mind. I remember you- vaguely that is. Say, since when were you in Seoul? I thought you would be in Busan or somewhere outside of Korea.”

It was a good thing that Seyong was quite an easygoing guy so it made her comfortable to have a chat with him because she always felt uneasy around acquaintances.

@sehyun Somehow Sehun felt like she was lying about the waiting part, but he took it as it was and didn't ask again. He sat down opposite of her and gave a tentative smile only to freeze up the moment she introduced herself. Oh Sehyun? Oh Sehyung like his princessy cousin from Seoul he had last met when they were both fourteen, before he had been sent to the States to polish his English skills and graduate from high school there. And when he came back, he had went straight to the military which was why he only started college now at the age of twenty-one.

"Wow," Sehun said, shaking his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe he had been set up on a blind date with his cousin. He was a hundred percent sure now. Not only her appearance, but her name matched, too. How could he be so stupid to think for even a moment that this could /not/ be a relative? And why didn't she notice yet? Didn't the name Seyong ring a bell for her?

"Sorry, Sehyun, but I guess we will have to stop the date right here. I'll still invite you for coffee and dinner if you like, but not as a date date, dear cousin. Remember me? It's Seyong from Busan. We haven't seen each other for a few years I believe."

Now that she could have a better view of his face better when he drew closer, Sehyun couldn't shook off the feeling that she knew this guy. And she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not because if he turned out to be the person she thought he is, then the blind date might have ended before it would begin, which was quite disappointing. Her lips curved into a delicate smile upon hearing his apology and she shook her head whilst motioning him to take a seat. “That's alright,” she started, and clasped her hands together on the table before finishing her words. “I didn't wait that long anyway.”

Sehyun simply stared at him in silence for a decent 10 seconds, taking in every details of his features and thought that he was indeed striking if not somewhat similar to her brother's face. Deep inside, she was overwhelmed with various emotions – anger when she thought her friends deliberately set her up with her cousin as a joke, curious when she thought of whom exactly the male sitting across from her and mostly hopeful when the idea of her cousin living in Busan struck her. So the possibility of him being her cousin might be thin now that she remembered that Seyong does not live in Seoul.

Then again, her stomach dropped the minute her introduced himself and every ounce of hopes that she previously had was gone just by the word ‘Seyong'. His voice was recognizable too now that she listened attentively. She had a hunch saying that this Seyong, was no doubt her relative. But what was he doing in Seoul? Wasn't he supposed to be in Busan with his family?

Pushing all of the inquiries and insights to the very back of her mind, she offered him a grin. “I'm Sehyun, Oh Sehyun.” She uttered and without waiting for his reactions, Sehyun pointed to the menu on her right side. “Why don't you order something first? And then we'll talk.”

@sehyun Red plaid, he thought and looked around spotting a girl in said clothes. Smiling, he approached her with a small wave to catch her attention, grinning more widely when she was looking back at him. As he came closer though, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was odd here. That face, it was too similar to someone he knew, someone-

And then it hit him. Her features were not too different from his own, the nose, high cheekbones and rather thin lips were all very, very much 'Oh'-like. Did he get set up with a relative? Even if they were not close relatives it was an odd thought and Sehun didn't feel too happy if it was true. Right now it could all be just a coincidence for with 7 billion people in the world there ought to be non relatives with looks not too different from one's own. Didn't they say there were always about 7 people that were lookalikes? Maybe this girl was another lookalike to one of his cousins.

"Hi, sorry for making you wait," he greeted when he reached the table, sitting down only after she had motioned for him to do so. From up close like this, Sehun couldn't help but think of her as one of his cousins. Dating each other would never be an option although he had to admit she was pretty, really pretty.

"I'm Seyong," he introduced himself. "And your name is...?"

@seyong Entering the cafe, she took a brief glance around to find a vacant table for her to sit, choosing a spot nearby the window and quite noticeable from the entrance. While waiting, she ordered herself an iced Americano to quench her thirst. There was still no reply from him so she decided to entertain herself by scrolling through her Instagram. Occasionally, she would advert her gaze to the entrance whenever the bell chimed and customers came in and out.

At some point, her attention got hooked on a group of high school students sitting a couple of tables away from hers, enthusiastically telling funny stories - of what happened just now or yesterday, she assumed. Sehyun chuckled at some and laughed outright at most. Good thing they didn’t pay her any attention, considering that she was looking at her phone so they probably thought she was laughing at whatever that was on the device.

Her drink then arrived and she thanked the waitress with a slight bow. The notification sound coming from her phone immediately caught all of her attention and checking the text within seconds, crinkling her nose when it was actually from one of her friends – asking her about the date. She puffed out an audible sigh before rolling her eyes once she read it. ‘God, they’re so impatient.’ She thought with a mental groan. She sent a (full of sarcasm) reply while making a disgruntled noise at the back of then ignored the text coming shortly after.

When her gaze landed on the time shown at the top right of the screen, her palms started to turn sweaty because the fixed time was almost nearing and her blind date could be here in any minute. Her mind suddenly was full of negative possibilities of him cancelling the date and anxiously, she stirred her coffee and took a long sip, hoping that it could calm her nerves and probably clear her mind too.

She startled slightly when her phone vibrated and she almost ignore it as she assume it was another message from her friend, but the word ‘unknown’ stopped her from doing so. Sehyun quickly read it and within seconds, her head snapped towards the entrance – seeing a tall male standing there, clad in red sweater but she couldn’t quite see his face. Her fingers shook slightly as she type and her heart was beating erratically.

She sent, looking at him once again and waited till he was looking at her before giving him a small wave. However, Sehyun feigned a confused look when she took notice of his face from afar. He looked awfully familiar, but she failed to recall anyone having the same features.

@sehyun Despite having a blind date later, Seyong had been lazing around the morning. College life wasn't as easy as he thought and despite being a smart kid with some knowledge on architecture simply through past experiences at his dad's office, it were the big projects and homework that gave him a hard time, or more precisely, his own perfectionism. He had been working all day in the week until late night, just to make sure that he would be free on the weekends - yes, he tried to do that every week - so of course he would want to sleep longer on Saturday. Not to mention that he was at a party last night, but luckily he was not so stupid to drink much alcohol or else he would look and feel a lot worse right now.

It was currently an hour before the coffee date with Miss Mysterious as Seyong dubbed her, despite his friend calling her Miss Perfect. A girl that matched well with Seyong, as his friend assured. Sehun just hummed occasionally as he listened to his friend half-heartedly, instead focusing on finishing his brunch first.

"Hey, are you dressing up now? Choose something nice," his friend told him the moment he stood in front of his closet. Seyong swore that his friend must have some weird supernatural power to foresee what he was doing. Either that or he had a camera installed in Seyong's apartment. He assured the other that he was dressed really nice today, even if it was just his favorite sweater combined with jeans. There was no reason to doll himself up when he wasn't clubbing.

It was shortly past two when he finally arrived at the appointed café, and taking a look at his phone he realized the girl must have been waiting for him some time already. He wasn't even sure who of the single ladies sitting alone could be his blind date, his eyes just taking a short glance before he sent a reply to her text.

Heaving out a soft sigh after stepping out of the bathroom, Sehyun went to sit at the end of her bed and proceeded to ruffle her hair with a smaller towel in her hand while eyeing the red plaid button down skater dress on her bed. She somehow regretted ever agreeing to her friends' request on doing them a favour when she found out that it was a blind date with someone from their college as well - but at the same time, she was looking forward to it. She couldn’t back down right now anyway so might as well just give it a chance and go along with it. Plus, it would be another new experience for her since this would be her first time going on a blind date. She wasn't really into this kind of things but hey, her friends were very convincing.

After a while of ruffling her long locks, she left the towel on top of her head and wore her undergarments before untying the knot of the towel that was wrapped securely around her torso, letting it drop to the floor and applying some necessary things on her body then dressing herself up. Standing in front of the long mirror, she buttoned up her dress shirt ( leaving the first two ed ) and folding the sleeves up to her elbows, then sprayed an appropriate amount of perfume on herself. Sehyun then took the towel off of her head and ruffled her hair a couple more times before brushing them, opting to go with a natural look. As for her makeup, she only applied a bit of cream on her face and lip gloss for the lips. Once totally satisfied, she went to hang the towels and grabbed her bag, put on her socks along with the ankle cut converse before heading out of the door, making sure it was locked before she went out of the dormitory area. Her looks were somehow very simple that she hoped her dare wouldn't mind it since Sehyun does not do "dress to impress" or anything of that sort.

She fished out her phone from her bag to check the time, realizing it was still quite early from their promised time, which gave her more time to leisurely walk to the agreed place. Luckily the cafe wasn’t too far so she wouldn’t have to walk for long and the weather was kinda hot too, but the soft breeze helped her withstand the heat in some way. After about 15 minutes of walking, she arrived at the mentioned place and halted her steps instead of going inside, standing in front of the window to text her date first just in case he had arrived before her - which she kind of doubted it but oh well. She scrolled through her contacts for a certain number before realizing that she still haven't save it yet. Therefore she went through her inbox, sighing in relief that she didn't delete any of the messages.
