The Broken World
Though centered around South Korea, the entire world has fell into chaos over the course of 3 years due to the exploit of an outbreak that has caused humanity to go mad. The T-43 virus was a man-made epidemic with the intention to control the over-growth of human population, however the virus spread with the contamination and security breach of a research facility in China. The text subjects, animals, had escaped and infected the researchers before the cure to the virus had been created as scheduled.
With China having the largest population in the world, the virus spread rampantly across Asia, and eventually overseas due to excessant travel and tourism. Many showed symptoms of infection within 43 Days, and fell into a comatose death either from the body shutting down, or those being killed due to their violent and aggressive behaviors.
Now in 2048, survivors are scarce -either dying from zombie attacks, hunger and dehydration, or the cruelty of humankind. The military have long lost control in an attempt to defend themselves and their country, and military survivors have either gone rogue, or assist in finding and protecting other survivors in an attempt to rebuild mankind. The once bustling streets are empty, broken and abandoned, and many wild animals have gone extinct, or infected.
Natural resources such as food, and drinkable water, as well as medicine, shelter and safety have gone extremely impossible to find. The world lacks working eletrical power, wireless communication, and many must resort to battery or solar powered devices.
