@l. meiyun It was around 2pm in the afternoon as he was finishing up his second class of the day. His creative writing class was beyond annoying as their submission for the class assignment had to be several pages long. It wasn't that he didn't writing, but rather that no one else in the class even tries when they do peer reviews. He sighs, grabbing the straps of his backpack as he made his way back to his apartment. from down the corridor, he could see a figure sitting by the front door of his apartment. it was odd, but as he walked closer; it was his friend mei. She was quite new, a freshman after all. she wasn't born in korea either, and that was essentially how they started becoming friends. he took a deep breath, noticing her small whimpers.
hansol took a seat against the wall beside mei, slipping off his backpack onto the floor. he gently tapped her arm, watching as her tear-stained cheeks rose up from her knees. "mei. how long have you been waiting here? i'm sorry i didn't come sooner- you should of texted me." he spoke in a gentle tone, watching over the girl as she sniffled away.
@c. hansol A shaky breath escaped Meiyun's lips as she crouched just outside of Hansol's place, silent tears falling down her face as she trembled. She was trying so hard to get used to a new country and to find some sort of job so that she could get by, survive, and not spend her entirety of university on the streets or without food. But it was hard for her. How could she expect herself to be able to do this when with every application she sent in, she would get a respinse, hopes high, and then realize it was a rejection. How could she accept that? It was hard for her. So she sat outside the apartment of one of the first people she met since being in the country, hoping he could somehow help her.
In any other case, she'd go to her half brother for help. Ask him what she should do, as if he could help refer her to someplace, but he wasn't there yet. And like her, the country was completely unfamiliar to her. It was hard for the girl to put so much trust into someone she hardly knew. She didn't tend to trust anyone easily for four to five years at this point. So even coming here hadn't been without much hesitation and contemplation. But, she did it, feeling as if their was no other choice. The unfortunate thing about the time she'd chosen, was that he wasn't there. Which was more motivation for the seemingly never ending shower of tears slipping down her cheeks and dropping from her chin onto her clothes and the cold ground.
