because she's on her phone when she heads toward the door, she bumps into it damn near head first and cause a loud thud to sound before it shatters some. an "ow! what the !" leaves her lips, and the back of her hand comes up to rub at her forehead, but she stands there awe stricken and confused, and her eyes land on one of the employees who looks visibly upset. "okay, i know my head is big, but i swear it's not my fault."

he doesn’t question and walks in, nodding at sehun on his idea of ordering the whole menu. “we got enough money for that actually. i’m hella hungry!” he pats his stomach as it growls loudly in hunger.

“sorry it just— only idea. I don’t have rice or tape with me, so gum works right?” he mumbles between the fabric, now nudging his attention back to the menu with his hands shoved in his pockets, ignoring the bewildered expressions on the employee’s faces. jungkook stumbles forward, clearing his throat as he orders, “bacon cheeseburger and a milkshake with all the flavours in one— thanks!”

not even one second after turning his head away to check his text messages, he arose back up to witness jungkook and the cracked glass door. what the in the world did this guy do? and to top it all off, he was now shoving noticeable gum up against the glass. "i..what the" he muttered underneath his breath, following behind the two before somehow still being able to go inside the restaurant, despite the door being on its last limbs. glancing up on the menu he turns back to jaebum. "that's all you want? i think i want to order the whole menu."

“where did you get—“ and jungkook already spread his slimy bubblegum on the crack. “that gum...” he stays silent while staring at the effort with that small disgust itching his nostrils. “ok, it works—“ but jungkook is a GENIUS.

“please give me a shake and fries.”

“I—“ he spits out the gum from his mouth, stretching it out between the crevices in hopes of mending it together, “there. we WON’T get sued!”

“anyways, what did you want to order losers?”

“bro, what—“ he sees the huge crack. “we’re gonna get SUED!”

“wait guys, I think I broke the glass of the door— oh my god. it cracked I—“

“yeah, i was the one who started this anyways,” he emits an awkward laugh and proceeds to switch his glances between the two. “i’m hungry as too. i haven’t ate anything all day because of my damn album,” he mumbles behind the mask before pulling it down to his chin. he follows behind the younger male, lazily looking at the two workers who would quit their job any time soon.

“I been hungry man. had practice and haven’t eaten since,” mumbling as he threads his fingers in his strands before hollering, “yo let’s go then—“ he gives a little wave to the others before jogging up to the front, smacking the doors open in a rather energetic entrance, awakening the drowsy worker with a beam. “oh damn my bad—“

"it seems so at the moment. should we wait for the others?" sehun questions, glancing around to see the other approaching before giving the lad a small wave. "hey jaebum, glad you could make it!" he responds, before giving him a light tap on the shoulder, followed by his hands against his own stomach as he could now feel the full force of his hunger. although it was silent besides their small conversation, the air was loud with nothing but the addicting aroma of the fryers. he was so hungry, and couldn't wait to taste that amazing first bite of a five guys burger. "i don't know about you guys, but i'm starving."

the message from sehun illuminated from his screen as he peeps from one of his shut eyes, humming to himself rather gleefully as the adrenaline began to make presence. there’s a few knocks against his window that budge him out from silence, eyes widening before he hops out the car, mumbling behind his restrained opening of the hoodie — of course, looking like an idiot. “holy hi sehun hyung... you actually pulled up and I’m so happy I— is it just you, jb, and chanyeol right now?”

jaebum was assigned to be the driver amongst a pack of idols, but everyone kept brushing the idea off until jungkook messaged them a few minutes ago. it seems that everyone is on their own for transportation, which thank god, he didn’t have to receive a headache with.

he manages to pull out a large shirt with baggy pants, fitted with some accessories to cover his identity. he can’t forget his trusty yellow beanie. the older eventually gets to the place in a black car, parking right next to the vehicle and spotting a tall individual in front of the parked car. he climbs out and coughs loudly, walking up to the shouting male. “i assume... sehun?”

upon receiving a text from his fellow idol, he knew this was the break that he so desperately deserved. there weren't a lots of times where he was able to just splurge on food, and binge all the greasy fat filled but absolutely delicious fast food; but tonight was that night. it was a rough night, just practicing within the studio and then feeling his stomach rumble he knew he needed to get there as soon as possible.

"i'll see you there." he replied back to jungkook's message, quickly hitting send before scrolling through his phone to find the lyft app. he honestly did not have the energy to drive there and it was essentially close by but he wasn't going to walk either.

as his rideshare driver arrived, he got in the car, quietly listening to the rumbles of the engine against the somewhat smooth road. upon arriving, he tipped the driver before lifting up his hoodie, engaging in full on airport fashion mode by wearing a face mask to cover up most of his face. he got out of the car, looking at the only parked vehicle in the vast parking lot, walking towards it to knock against the window. "bro-- jungkook, i'm here. get out of the car." he exclaimed, trying to speak loudly so he can hear through the glass.

this is how it starts.

he throws on his hoodie with his hands clutching at the strings, pulling downward so that the opening would curl inwards just slightly. he leaves enough space that his eyes are visible and could peep out while he’s driving to the restaurant under 3am skies. initially jaebum was suppose to bundle all the idiots into a tight rigid van with loud giggles echoing in the crack of dawn, but four days had passed since the idea was brought to surface yet no action was taken place. if there was one thing jungkook was good at doing, it was taking the initiative, and for this time, he genuinely needed a distraction from the past week and his inner turmoil.

‘omw. I better see u bakas there or im gonna b mad. bring anyone u want tho.’ he sends off the message to the group chat.

he presses his sole upon the brake before nudging down at the start buttons, triggering the lights to stare into the night’s silence. the rest leave him to several turns right and left from his apartment until he’s parked in front of an empty (thankfully) five guys parking lot; he can see one worker swishing around with a disgusting mop singing tunes between their beats headphones, while the other lay slumped against the cash register with fluttered shut eyes.

jungkook then settles in his seat with the back of his head kissed back against the rest, exhaling a sigh because — the wait has begun. he can taste the phantom crisp of the fries and the juiciness of the burgers, along with their classic thick milkshakes ranging in multiple flavours. a diet because now was the time to let loose from his distractions.
