Chisa&Dongmin's flat

@♗ Lee Dongmin Dongmin took the patch and Chisa turned to face the front, only to twist himself again to try and sneak a peak at Dongmin's work. He felt the pressure against his lower back, the knuckles smoothing out any folds and wrinkles and turned to face the front again. The fingers left his aching back and Chisa turned again to thank his roommate, squinting happily at the little scritches. "Nope, all good!" Waits for you to pull away and return to the couch, settling on the floor myself. "Not yet..." I roll from my side onto my back and stare up at the ceiling, one eye shut as I try to make animal figures with my hands. Then, abruptly, I tilt my head to look at you. "Do you want to order something?? I'll buy." I sound excited, my eyes are flashing. Usually I try to save up as much of the money I get to keep as possible, but every now and then indulgences are made. Am I financially responsible? No. I waste my money just as other 20 year olds do, but take-out is an occasional luxury.

@♗ Chisa It was fair enough that Chisa would be startled with his entrance. He watched disappointedly as he dropped the patch, shifting from the sofa to take the request. It had kind of been his fault that the other person had dropped the pesky thing, so Dongmin would help him with another. He accepted the fresh patch, getting down on his knees behind his friend to stick it in the place Chisa had been going for before he’d been interrupted. He smoothed over the space with his knuckles, just gently making sure it was in place before he pulled back, offering the crown of Chisa’s head a fond scratch, as though petting a cat, smiling lightly to himself as he spoke. It was always nice to be home again. “Happy? Are there any others that you need help with, or is that plenty for now?” Petting and helping completed, the man made to rise and return to his position on the couch. “Have you eaten then?”

@♗ Lee Dongmin Chisa was sitting cross-legged on the floor in the living room, torso twisted so he could look at his back through the tall mirror that leaned against the walls. He was in the process of sticking pain relief patches on his lower back when the door opened and he heard Dongmin call his name. Chisa flinched, dropped the patch and cursed under his breath. He turned to look at Dongmin in annoyance, hufffing. "I dropped it!!" He wasn't actually pissed at Dongmin, he was pissed at himself for dropping it on the floor and wasting a perfectly good patch. Chisa was indeed having a rough time lately. He didn't usually talk about it with Dongmin. He enjoyed his roommate's presence, a lot, but if they both always shared the rough details of their day it would always be depressing in here. Chisa was determined to make this a happy space. "Help me out with this first-", he said and looked up at Dongmin from the floor expectantly, holding out a fresh patch.

@♗ Chisa While the return to the ugly flat was never an enthusiastic one, there were things that made it better. A friendly roommate, for one. At least Dongmin could exercise the privilege of sharing a home with someone who he didn’t think would slit his throat and steal his empty wallet in his sleep. He shuddered. It was a frightfully real possibility anywhere else. He pushed the door locked, sliding the latch across, hesitating with the key in the lock before locking it. They were both home, it was safest to keep the door locked to visitors. “Chisa,” He called into the dank apartment. From what he gathered, his friend had been having a rough time of it lately. “Have you eaten yet? I didn’t get anything, I wasn’t sure what you’d be able to manage today.” Dongmin settled upon the couch, as old, cheap and battered by the elements as everything in the flat. He threw his legs up on it too, just for good measure. He’d strip every ounce of comfort from their possessions. They deserved better, but in their respective positions, neither of them could acquire that. “Do you want to spend time together for a while? You can tell me about your day if you’d like.”
